‘A True CEO’ – Pro Hall of Famer Shares Story of Shedeur Sanders and His Driver

NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter shares a story about an interaction between Shedeur Sanders, his brother, and his driver.

Shedeur Sanders has been under the spotlight ever since he and his dad/coach Deion Sanders took over the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023 and turned the program upside down, making it relevant for the first time in years.

While many fans and analysts applaud the Colorado quarterback for his aura, popular watch taunt, and confidence, others criticize Sanders’ excessive media presence and brash personality, among other things. However, a recent interview with Cris Carter might give fans a new outlook on the younger Sanders’ personality.

Cris Carter Recalls Endearing Conversation With Shedeur Sanders’ Driver

The NFL Hall of Famer Carter recently recalled a conversation with Sanders’ driver on Kay Adams’ show, “Up & Adams.”

Carter shared that during the national championship game between Ohio State and Notre Dame, he was working with a company, which is the same one Sanders also has a deal with.

The company’s driver drove around Shedeur and Deion Sanders Jr. before picking up Carter. The Hall of Famer then shared how the driver couldn’t stop gushing over Shedeur and how he conducts his business and how he takes care of himself while also bossing around his older brother, who takes care of the behind-the-scenes stuff.

“This is what a lot of young people don’t realize. When I was at the national championship, Notre Dame versus Ohio State, I was working for a company that he already had a deal. He didn’t know that I was going to be getting in the car with his driver right after him and his brother.

“So the things that the driver said as far as the way he conducts his business, the way he takes care of himself, the way he bosses his brother around to make sure that he’s not late because he could do some things that aren’t as timely as Shedeur. So a true CEO, this is something I told Deion, I told Deion Jr., the guy behind the media, that you don’t know who’s watching, and to hear this driver brag about his timing.”

Carter also shared how the driver narrated the way Sanders reached the pickup spot five minutes early and the stuff he talked to his brother about while appreciating the seriousness in his demeanor and predicting a great future for him as a quarterback.

The Hall of Famer concluded by saying how nice it is to hear things about Sanders in a positive light, ensuring a bright future for him as a human and a QB.
