The Kansas City Chiefs will turn to chief executive officer Clark Hunt to serve as drum honoree for the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills. It’s an AFC Championship tradition for the Chiefs. Hunt has served as the drum honoree in the last five AFC Championship Games at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Big and Rich Perform During Halftime Show at AFC Championship Game
The Chiefs also announced that fans will get to enjoy a halftime show from legendary country music duo “Big and Rich”. They are expected to perform a medley of all of their hit songs.
Big and Rich began collaborating in 1998 and have released six albums since 2004. They have won multiple Grammy and CMA Awards since then. They remain one of the greatest-selling country duos in music history.

The Chiefs also announced that retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class Generald Wilson will perform the Star Spangled Banner while the Kansas City Fire Department presents the colors.
Wilson performed the anthem before the Chiefs’ 2023 AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and during the 2014 World Series for the Kansas City Royals. Wilson is a good luck charm for the Chiefs and the city of Kansas City.
As Wilson delivers the final stanza of the national anthem and the sold out crowd yells “home of the Chiefs,” there will be a fleet of B-2 Spirits flying over the stadium. The planes will be coming from Whiteman Airforce Base located near Knob Noster, Missouri, which is an hour north of Kansas City.
The Chiefs are set to take on the Buffalo Bills at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 26, at Arrowhead Stadium for the Lamar Hunt Trophy.

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes issued a challenge to Chiefs fans. He wants them to be loud, very loud.
“First off, I think GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium is just a special place,” Mahomes said on Wednesday. “I mean, you get a feeling when you step in the stadium, and you know the history and the greatness that has been played at this football stadium. I think that kind of feeds the football team.
“Then, the crowd is great at being quiet when we’re on offense (and) being extremely loud whenever our defense is out there, and you feel that passion that the fans have. It’s true, it’s real, and they want us to go out there and be the best that we can possibly be, and so we want to go out there and put up our best fight every single time we’re on that field.”
You heard QB1.
