Josh Allen is having himself a pretty good last 12 months. He’s fresh off his first NFL MVP campaign, having beat out Lamar Jackson in a tight race for the league’s highest honor. He also piloted the Buffalo Bills to yet another AFC Championship Game appearance, though they remain unable to get past Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs.
Oh, and he also got engaged to superstar actress Hailee Steinfeld, known for her roles as Emily Junk in the “Pitch Perfect” movies and Gwen Stacy in Sony’s animated “Spider-verse” franchise.
In a new interview, Steinfeld revealed what the moment she got engaged to Allen was like.

“You know, I don’t think I can pinpoint it. I blacked out completely. I don’t feel like I saw anything around me for several hours. I don’t remember anything he [Josh Allen] said,” the actress responded.
“I’m still in shock, I’m still recovering; I don’t know when the moment was. But I am so blessed and so lucky that I get to marry the man of my dreams! And he planned the most perfect proposal I could have ever, ever dreamt of.”
Allen and the Bills finished the 2024 season with a record of 13-4, while the second-place Jackson and the Ravens had a record of 12-5. The Bills defeated the Ravens in the Divisional Round before falling to the Chiefs in the AFC title game.
In PFSN’s final quarterback rankings of the season, Allen finished third in QB+, a metric designed to weigh all aspects of a signal-caller’s performance, from accuracy under pressure to clutch throws. His final grade of 91.7 (A-) ranked behind only Jackson (99.8) and Jared Goff (92.8).
Regarding the regular season, Allen was inside the top five for most of the statistics we look at in QB+. His 0.24 EPA/DB ranked third in the NFL, and he finished fourth in both EPA/DB from a clean pocket (0.37) and third-best when pressured (-0.05). The only statistic of note where Allen was not in the top five is his third-down conversion percentage (sixth, 44.4%).
In all, he finished his MVP season with 3,731 passing yards and 28 touchdowns on a 63.6% completion rate. He notably added 531 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.
Now, he’ll have an entire offseason to continue plotting ways to finally topple the might Chiefs, who have represented the AFC in five of the last six Super Bowls. When he’s not doing that, though, he’ll probably be spending his time with his bride-to-be.
