MSN Slideshow Green Bay Packers 7-Round Mock Draft By Pro Football Network FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail January 20, 2025 | 10:45 AM EST Share FacebookTwitterReddItFlipLinkedinEmail 1 of 8 A promising season fell apart at the end, but the Green Bay Packers have a solid foundation to continue to build on. Let's take a look at what PFN predicted in their most recent 7-round mock. With the 23rd overall pick, the Green Bay Packers could go with a potential steal of the draft in Shavon Revel. Like Quinyon Mitchell a season ago, Revel was poised to go through the college all-star circuit and display his skills against the best of the best. A good showing in Mobile or Frisco could have cemented top-10 pick status for the 6-foot-2 cornerback, but a season-ending injury killed those dreams. Still, nobody in the class can effortlessly hinge and carry vertically the way Revel can, and the playmaking cornerback has a Trevon Diggs-like knack for playing out of phase to bait quarterbacks into silly mistakes. Unless they can find a way to bring Josh Jacobs back, Omarion Hampton is Green Bay's best choice for a bruising, bowling ball running back. You absolutely do not want to be the first guy to contact Hampton when he accelerates through a hole. His North-South burst is eye-popping, which is exactly what happens to linebackers when they meet him in the hole. Add in a bit of wiggle, some hilariously physical pass pro reps, and some impressive receiving ability out of the backfield and Hampton could become the dominant back in Green Bay sooner rather than later. Zy Alexander would be the perfect name for Green Bay as they continue to shore up on the defensive side. The LSU product was extremely consistent in coverage and occasionally snagged an interception as well. Sometimes there is a perfect player-team fit in the mid rounds that you can’t take your eyes off of, and Alexander to the Packers to create and Alexander-squared cornerback duo feels perfect even without the name symmetry. In a bid to continue to accumulate weapons around Jordan Love, Green Bay could do worse than Pat Bryant in the fourth round. Coming out of Illinois, Bryant has shown continuous improvement each year for the Illini, with nearly 1,000 receiving yards in his senior year. A steadily improving Packers defense could employ Jay Higgins in the fifth round. Coming out of Iowa, Higgins came into his own in his final two seasons, tallying 171 and 124 total tackles respectively, while adding a couple of sacks as well. As a sixth-rounder, CJ West is not going to get a lot of reps for Green Bay. However, the defensive lineman could be someone to monitor as a developmental piece, after he had an impressive final year with the Indiana Hoosiers. As a seventh rounder, Packers couldn't find a better name at the Safety spot than USC's Akili Arnold. In his lone season with the Trojans, he had nearly 60 total tackles and an interception as well.
