In this Green Bay Packers NFL Mock Draft, we see the team attempt to navigate through the unpredictable waters ahead. With uncertainty at QB, the best they can do is keep building the roster and invite stability for the next era. In this scenario, simulated trades were active among other teams via the Mock Draft Simulator, but the Packers held steady and did not make any moves.
Latest Green Bay Packers 2023 NFL Mock Draft
Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia | Round 1, Pick 15
There’s a lot on the table for the Packers in Round 1 of the 2023 NFL Draft. Quarterback is naturally a question mark with Aaron Rodgers aging and Jordan Love’s future unclear, but Green Bay might not be in a position to make a move there. The clear second choice might be to replenish the trenches so that the next QB is well-protected.
David Bakhtiari could be a potential cap casualty this offseason, opening the door for a successor at left tackle. And after watching him maul TCU defenders rep after rep in the national championship game, it’s easy to be on board with Broderick Jones. He’s still developing, but Jones’ blend of athleticism and strength is overwhelming.
Rashee Rice, WR, SMU | Round 2, Pick 45
Adding more youth might not be an overwhelming solution to improving a young, inexperienced receiving corps. As uncomfortable as it may be, you ultimately need to bank on young players if you want them to develop into stars. In Round 2 of this Packers NFL Mock Draft, Rashee Rice brings that star potential alongside Christian Watson.

On my board, Rice is a potential first-round talent. On the three-level framework — before the catch, at the catch, and after the catch — he’s one of the most universally dynamic receivers in the class. And with his explosiveness, length, and frame density, he fits the Packers’ preferred mold.
Isaiah McGuire, EDGE, Missouri | Round 3, Pick 76
Rashan Gary will be back soon enough, and Kingsley Enagbare has proven he has a future in the Packers’ EDGE rotation. Even so, EDGE is one position that still needs more fine-tuning for Green Bay. Many prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft fit the Packers’ preferred mold, but one of the more underrated options is Isaiah McGuire.
McGuire doesn’t get the hottest buzz, but he’s one of the most complete EDGE prospects in the 2023 cycle. He has size at 6’4″, 271 pounds, with near-35″ arms. McGuire has production, with 14.5 sacks and 28 tackles for loss since 2021, and at the Senior Bowl, his explosive, twitchy athleticism and hot motor will vault his stock up.
Luke Schoonmaker, TE, Michigan | Round 4, Pick 113
Robert Tonyan could be heading out the door this offseason, along with veteran Marcedes Lewis. Those departures would leave the Packers very thin at the tight end position. Luckily for them, the 2023 NFL Draft is incredibly deep at TE, and there are underrated prospects clustered in the middle rounds — among them Michigan’s Luke Schoonmaker.
Schoonmaker profiles as a high-level blocker right away in the NFL, but in 2022, he reached new heights as a receiving threat. He’s a smooth athlete with good length and coordination, and his two-phase ability could make him an asset in Green Bay early on.
Clayton Tune, QB, Houston | Round 5, Pick 146
I’m rarely an advocate of picking quarterbacks past Round 1 unless you have extra picks. The Packers are in a precarious spot with Rodgers and Love, however. They could use a solid QB prospect on a cheap rookie deal to provide some stability. Clayton Tune accomplishes that in this Packers NFL Mock Draft.
Tune doesn’t have any true selling points as a prospect, outside of his competitive toughness. But there are enough flashes — both with his arm talent and in-structure ability — to suggest he can see out a career as a quality backup or spot starter.
Tyreque Jones, DB, Boise State | Round 7, Pick 201
Adrian Amos is a free agent, and Darnell Savage’s contract expires in 2023 after his fifth-year option runs through. Green Bay will need to address the safety position — potentially both spots — at some point. A Round 7 pick won’t solve all their problems, but Green Bay can add some flexibility to the fold.
Tyreque Jones is a fascinating prospect in this range. He’ll be a bit over-aged as a 24-year-old rookie, but Jones has great size at 6’2″, 207 pounds, with absurd arms that measure over 34″. He’s played strong safety and taken reps in the slot, and as a depth piece, that versatility would hold a lot of weight.
Rejzohn Wright, CB, Oregon State | Round 7, Pick 210
Regardless of need, most teams would be well-served to dip into the 2023 NFL Draft cornerback class. It’s an incredibly deep group, and the Packers are among the teams who could benefit from capitalizing. Quality options should be available in Round 7, one of those being Oregon State’s Rejzohn Wright.

Wright has a very appealing size profile. At 6’2″, 200 pounds, he’s not too tall to the point where it impacts his fluidity, but he still has arms well over 33″. He’s an explosive athlete with easy long-strider speed and superb ball skills, which he used to notch four interceptions and 17 deflections over the past two seasons.
Jerome Carvin, OL, Tennessee | Round 7, Pick 216
At this point in our latest Packers NFL Mock Draft, we’re just adding depth to the most important position group. There likely won’t be any changes to the starting lineup on the interior in 2023. But if Josh Myers continues to regress, or if Elgton Jenkins moves back to tackle, it would be good to have security.
Late in Round 7, Jerome Carvin is a good option, especially if versatility is the coveted trait. In his Tennessee career, Carvin took starts at left guard, right guard, and center. At 6’5″, 320 pounds, he has great size and proportional length, to go along with stifling strength at the point of attack.
