    Giants vs. Vikings Prediction

Brian Daboll continues to make his case for Coach of the Year. In his first season as New York Giants head coach, Daboll has taken a roster that is missing talent at a lot of key positions and has turned them into a well-rounded team.

After a hard-fought victory in Week 15 over their division opponent, the Washington Commanders, the Giants currently hold an 8-5-1 record on the season and seem bound to make the playoffs.

It’s been an incredibly impressive coaching performance by Daboll. They will be a difficult opponent to face in the postseason if they do end up making their way there.

Looking ahead to this week, the Giants will take on a Vikings team that boasts an 11-3 record and is already looking ahead to the NFL postseason after locking up the NFC North last week in a ridiculous comeback performance.

The key for New York to win this matchup rests with the passing game. With the Vikings allowing the second-most passing yards per game this season, New York will have every opportunity to open things up and move the ball through the air.

If Daniel Jones and his limited playmakers can step up and take advantage of the matchup, we could see the Giants prove they’re not a team to overlook in the playoff discussion and advance to 9-5-1 on the season.

As for Minnesota, it’s impossible not to discuss the massive comeback performance in Week 15 against Indianapolis. At one point, the Vikings were down 33-0 at halftime, and they were able to scratch and claw their way back to win 39-36 in overtime.

This performance was enough to be crowned as the largest comeback in NFL history, and Minnesota will now find their names etched in the history books.

Looking ahead to this next week, the Vikings will look to avoid a first-half collapse like what they encountered in Week 15. Against a strong and well-coached Giants team, they won’t be able to work their way back from that large of a deficit.

A way to avoid getting in that type of hole is to lean on the run game. The Giants are currently allowing the third-most rushing yards per game, and the Vikings would be wise to try and exploit that specific matchup.

If Minnesota can lean on Dalvin Cook this week to help control the clock and keep the Giants’ offense off the field — and away from their defense — there’s a good possibility that Minnesota will advance to an impressive 12 wins on the season after this one.
