Giants vs. Eagles Prediction
The crowd demanding that Brian Daboll be considered for NFL Coach of the Year certainly felt validated after the Giants pulled off a major upset in Super Wild Card Weekend. New York was able to pull off the upset over the 13-win Minnesota Vikings, and they continue to show that they can compete with the best the league has to offer.
Even without a star-studded roster on offense, the Giants continue to find ways to win. But they’ll now face a tough test with the team they went 0-2 against in the regular season, the No. 1 seed Eagles.
The Giants sat their starters in Week 18 when these two teams faced off for the second time, but things didn’t exactly go well for New York back in early December against Philadelphia.
The Giants fell 48-22, and they watched the Eagles total four rushing touchdowns against them in that single game, which will certainly be a key part of the game plan going into this one. If they want to have any hope of pulling off another upset, they’ll need to contain the Eagles’ rushing attack.
That won’t be an easy task, though, with Miles Sanders and Jalen Hurts leading the way for this Eagles run game behind a well-rested offensive line. If they can slow them down, we could see the Giants continue to find a way to win and move on to the NFC Championship round.
As for the Eagles, they certainly needed the week off last week to get some key players back and healthy. They’ll now go into a matchup with their divisional foe well-rested and ready to make a deep postseason push.

The storyline to watch going into this game for Philadelphia revolves around the health of their starting QB, Hurts. The young QB has only thrown 35 pass attempts over the course of the last month, and we even have to go back to Dec. 11 to find the last time he threw a touchdown pass in a game.
Will there be any rust for Hurts coming off of this injury and barely having played recently? While the roster is incredibly loaded and has the talent to be able to beat opposing teams in a variety of different ways, Hurts’ dual-threat ability is the engine for this high-powered offense.
If he’s not at 100%, there’s a possibility that the Eagles could struggle to move the ball offensively. However, if he comes out firing early on, there may not be enough that the Giants can do to stave off a Philly victory.
