Who Are the Giants-Eagles Announcers Today on FOX? Everything You Need To Know About the Broadcast

The New York Giants visit the Philadelphia Eagles for a Christmas afternoon game on FOX, with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m. ET. This is the first of two meetings between these teams in the final three weeks of the season.

Philadelphia is coming off a loss to the Seattle Seahawks last Monday and enters with a 0-3 record in December. The Giants and quarterback Tommy DeVito have won three of the last four games to improve their record to 5-9.

FOX’s pregame coverage starts at 4 p.m. ET.

Who Are the Game Announcers for Giants-Eagles?

Joe Davis will handle play-by-play, with Daryl Johnston providing analysis and Pam Oliver reporting from the sidelines for this game. The FOX lead crew of Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi called the Dallas Cowboys-Miami Dolphins game on Sunday.

Davis has been with FOX since 2014 and has called NFL, MLB, college football, and college basketball games. Before FOX, he started working for ESPN when he was 24 years old, providing play-by-play for several college sports. Davis played quarterback and wide receiver at Beloit College in Wisconsin.

Davis is the lead play-by-play announcer for FOX’s MLB coverage and has called the World Series in the last two seasons. He is also the television voice for the Los Angeles Dodgers on SportsNet LA. Davis was hired to call road games for the 2016 season and became the full-time announcer the next season after Vin Scully retired.

Oliver is in her 29th year as a sideline reporter for FOX’s NFL coverage. She was a reporter at ESPN, covering NFL, NBA, and college basketball, before joining FOX in 1995.

Oliver competed in track and field at Florida A&M and is a member of the school’s Sports Hall of Fame. She was inducted twice, once as an individual and once as a member of the school’s mile relay team that won a national championship.

    Daryl Johnston’s NFL Career

Johnston played 44 games at Syracuse from 1985 to 1988, earning All-America honors in his senior season. In college, he rushed for 1,756 yards and nine touchdowns. The Cowboys selected him in the second round of the 1989 draft after the team selected Troy Aikman in the first round.

Johnston, who was nicknamed “Moose” because of his stature, played fullback for the Cowboys during his 11-year career. He was named to the Pro Bowl two times and played for three Super Bowl champions.

Johnston was a key blocker for the NFL’s all-time rushing leader, Emmitt Smith, during his career. He finished his career with 14 rushing and 8 receiving touchdowns in 151 games.

After his retirement, Johnston started his career as a game analyst for CBS in 2000 and joined FOX for the 2001 season.
