Players To Watch During Georgia’s Pro Day 2024: Brock Bowers, Ladd McConkey Aim To Dazzle Scouts

    Published on

The eyes of the NFL world turn to Georgia's Pro Day to see Brock Bowers, Ladd McConkey, and Amarius Mims take the field in front of scouts.

The 2024 NFL Draft cycle is in full swing and now enters one of the final steps of the evaluation process before the event takes place at the end of April, with every school hosting a pro day in front of NFL scouts.

The Georgia Bulldogs have been one of the best programs of the last few years and have become an NFL factory under head coach Kirby Smart. Who are the next breed of Bulldogs to watch at the Georgia Pro Day?

    Georgia Pro Day 2024

    Brock Bowers, Tight End

The top tight end and one of the top prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft, Brock Bowers delayed his testing to the Georgia Pro Day, spurning the opportunity to put on a show at the 2024 NFL Combine.

This will be the first time Bowers will post any of these numbers and go through these drills in front of NFL scouts, so it’s an important step for him. While Bowers’ talent is evident, a great showing here could cement his status as a top-10 pick in the draft.

    Ladd McConkey, Wide Receiver

Ladd McConkey‘s athleticism is well-known, but his 2024 NFL Draft stock has floated around the end of the first round to the middle of Round 2.

McConkey won’t be able to completely cement his status as a first-round pick at Georgia’s Pro Day, but he should be able to wow scouts with his route-running ability and athletic testing.

    Amarius Mims, Offensive Tackle

One of the most impressive athletes in this draft class, Amarius Mims has a mammoth frame and looks the part as a tackle.

Unfortunately, Mims suffered an injury at the NFL Combine while running his 40-yard dash, delaying the rest of his testing to the pro day. This will be an important step for Mims to put him in the running as OT3 off the board.

    Kamari Lassiter, Cornerback

Kamari Lassiter is a smooth mover in space who has battled some athleticism questions from scouts throughout this process. He didn’t run the 40 or do any of the jumps at the NFL Combine, but Lassiter did go through the agility drills and handled them with aplomb.

Putting up good numbers at the Georgia Pro Day would help lessen those concerns and cement his status as a first-round selection.

Other players who will work out at Georgia’s Pro Day include Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, Kendall Milton, Daijun Edwards, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Javon Bullard, Zion Logue, and Tykee Smith
