‘I Don’t Want To Hear That Crap’ – Former Super Bowl Champion Rips CeeDee Lamb for Sunlight Excuses at AT&T Stadium

CeeDee Lamb has found no respite after missing a catch in the red zone against the divisional rivals Philadelphia Eagles. The wide receiver missed a throw in the second quarter from Cooper Rush as the Dallas Cowboys lost 34-6.

Now, former NFL offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth ridiculed Lamb even more. The Super Bowl winner with the Los Angeles Rams dug deep into Lamb’s sunlight excuse.

Andrew Whitworth Isn’t Buying the Sunlight Excuse From CeeDee Lamb

The 42-year-old, during his appearance on the Up & Adams Show, talked about a whole host of issues that the Cowboys are dealing with. Chief amongst those for him was Lamb’s missed catch. The cameras caught Lamb signaling at the sunlight as an excuse after the play.

“You know, ‘I missed my hands because there’s such a glare.’ No, not true,” said Whitworth. “That’s an excuse. Get over it. You’re a professional athlete. I don’t want to hear that crap. Figure it out. Okay, I don’t want to hear whining about the sunlight.”

While the host tried to side with Lamb, Whitworth interjected her and said, “Figure it out. I don’t want to hear about excuses, about lighting.”

“Okay, baseball players play in the sun. They put a hand up and catch the ball. I don’t know, figure it out. I just don’t want to hear the excuses,” he added.

Jerry Jones Talks About the Sunlight Issue After Lamb’s Dropped Catch

The Cowboys do not train at AT&T Stadium, hence the sunlight becomes an issue only during games. However, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wasn’t amused by this being an issue. “We do know where the damn sun’s going to be at our own stadium,” said Jones to the media.

“Well, let’s just tear the damn stadium down and build another one? You kidding me?” he added. “Everybody’s got the same thing,” said the 82-year-old. “Every team that comes in here has the same issues. They know where the sun’s going to be. Every team has the same thing.”

The Cowboys will be back at home in Week 11 against the Houston Texans. However, this game will not have a sunlight problem as Monday Night Football is scheduled at 8:15 p.m. ET.
