‘I’m So Tired’ – Former NFL QB Absolves Josh Allen of Blame in Heartbreaking AFC Championship Game Loss to Chiefs

Josh Allen gave everything he had in the AFC Championship Game, but somehow, the blame still found its way to him. One former NFL quarterback isn’t having it, though, and is stepping up to say what many fans are already thinking.

Allen didn’t fumble the bag. The Buffalo Bills just got outplayed when it mattered most. Sure, it’s a brutal loss, but pinning it all on the quarterback is lazy.

Dan Orlovsky Slams Critics of Josh Allen After AFC Championship Loss

Orlovsky had enough of the Allen slander. After the Bills’ brutal AFC Championship loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Orlovsky went off on “The Pat McAfee Show.”

Orlovsky said, “I’m so tired of people talking about, well, he could have done this. If you’ve never done it at that moment, you can’t sit here and say he should have done that.”

He wasn’t holding back, calling out anyone who’s never stepped on the field, saying they don’t have a clue about what goes down in those high-pressure moments.

Orlovsky’s all about defending Allen — and he’s not here for the online armchair QBs. Allen’s performance was impressive (four touchdowns and no turnovers) while navigating a fierce Chiefs defense that had him scrambling under pressure.

Yet, some critics zeroed in on specific moments, like the crucial 4th-and-5 play Buffalo failed to convert at the end of the game. Some suggested that Allen could have redirected the protection or adjusted on the fly, but Orlovsky shot that down.

“You know exactly what the defense is going to do, and you’re going to change the protection in one leg kick, I think is absolutely disingenuous to how hard it is to play that position,” Orlovsky argued.

It’s much harder to do on the road, where the defense is anticipating your every move. Orlovsky explained that when you’re on the road, you only have a limited number of cadences before the defense catches on. Changing things up like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady can be rare, especially in the heat of an AFC Championship.

Orlovsky admitted the defense earned that win, but that doesn’t mean Allen should take all the heat. Instead, his message was clear — don’t critique from the sidelines if you haven’t been in those shoes.

Allen Took a Tough Loss, but Hailee Steinfeld’s Message Will Melt Your Heart

Another season, another gut-punch loss for Allen. The Bills’ QB balled out with 237 passing yards and two touchdowns in the AFC Championship Game, but once again, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs sent him packing.

A 32-29 loss. An 0-4 playoff record against KC. Pain.

Allen didn’t sugarcoat it. “You can either get it done or you can’t, and we didn’t get it done,” he admitted.

Yeah, that one hurt. But while Bills Mafia is spiraling, Allen’s biggest fan — his fiancée, Hailee Steinfeld — isn’t going anywhere.

“Oh my God. Yeah, to say the least. I’m so proud of that man and everything he’s done and everything that team has done together,” Steinfeld told E! News. “He’s the hardest working person I know.”

Steinfeld’s been owning it in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Arcane, but she’s keeping it lowkey in the NFL scene. Still, when she talks about Allen, it’s clear — he might’ve missed out on the Super Bowl, but he’s already a winner in the ways that matter most.
