Former NFL QB Has Blunt Reaction to Rumor That Cowboys Star Micah Parsons Wants To Join Eagles

Rumors swirl around Micah Parsons' future movement in the NFL, but A.J. Brown's latest statement linking him to Philadelphia isn't sitting well.

Micah Parsons’ future with the Dallas Cowboys has been one of the most cutting stories of the offseason. The linebacker has already highlighted that he is open to an extension, but the topic of his transfer to Philadelphia is making rounds on the internet.

While a change of scenery could work, former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel thinks that if Parsons were to join the Philadelphia Eagles, it wouldn’t be a good look.

Chase Daniel Quashes the Idea of Micah Parsons’ Transition to Philadelphia

The conundrum began when Eagles star receiver A.J. Brown suggested that Parsons wants to be an Eagle on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game.” That idea didn’t sit well with Daniel, who gave his blunt take on “The Facility.”

“No, he should not want to leave Dallas for Philly,” Daniel said. “Dallas is one of the top brands in all of sports. I think that Dallas will make him the highest-paid defender of all time. And quite honestly, he would look like a sell-out if he went to Philly. I get that he’s from Philly … Eagles and Cowboys, most-hated rivalry, one of the most-hated rivals.”

Daniel didn’t stop there, pointing out that staying with the Cowboys would be more beneficial for Parsons in the long run.

“I think he would look like a sell-out. You’re going to make way more money and be way more famous if you play for the Dallas Cowboys. Look, your podcasts, all that stuff — I get that. I just don’t think there’s any possible way that Howie Roseman will go out and try to trade for Micah.”

Parsons has been a trailblazer since entering the league in 2021. He has made his place as one of the NFL’s premier defenders with 52.5 career sacks and four straight Pro Bowl selections. Additionally, he is eligible for a massive contract extension and, as reports suggest, is willing to sign the dotted line.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano recently predicted Parsons will land a deal worth around $180 million with $125 million guaranteed.

The Cowboys are expected to lock him down long-term. The idea seems pretty obvious at this point, as he is just 25 years old and rules the charts among defensive players. Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer feels that Parsons has a long way to go, making him one of the best players to keep.

“Micah is an elite young football player that has barely scratched the surface,” said Brian.

However, with free agency looming after the 2025 season, speculation about his next move isn’t going away anytime soon.
