One of the most dominating players over the past two years in college football has been Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
In these past two seasons, he has 144 catches for 2,474 yards and 28 touchdowns. He is widely looked at as the top receiver in the class and figures to be a high pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft in the next couple of weeks.
Former NFL cornerback Domonique Foxworth was on ESPN’s Get Up on Friday and said that Harrison is likely to have a special career.
Domonique Foxworth Says Marvin Harrison Jr. Is Likely To Be a Future Hall of Famer
The talks of this draft have been about the quarterback position. This is an extremely deep class at the position, and there are a lot of teams that need quarterbacks. This leads to lots of rumors of teams trading up to get their future quarterback.
However, Foxworth let it be known that the guy he thinks is going to be a star in this class is Harrison.
“There is one player at a very important position that stands out apart from the quarterbacks, and that is Marvin Harrison Jr.,” Foxworth said on Get Up. “I think you drop him on a roster, and that is going to change your team immediately.”
Teams the past few years have been trying to build a team featuring a quarterback on a rookie deal. While that can be a big advantage, Foxworth said it is more important to have a great player on a rookie contract, and Harrison fits the bill.
“Don’t get too cute,” Foxworth said. “When there are great players, draft them. Don’t try to out-GM the situation. I am with you — if someone blows you away with an offer, that’s fine, I will take it. I think the difference between Harrison and Rome Odunze is noticeable. I think Rome can be a No. 1 overall receiver in this league, and I think Harrison is likely to be a Hall of Famer.”
What Makes Harrison Such a Terrific Prospect?
It isn’t just Foxworth who thinks that Harrison has a chance to be a superstar in the NFL for a long time. He is a rare combination of size, speed, and athleticism you just don’t see very often.
Two years ago, he had quarterback C.J. Stroud throwing him passes at Ohio State, and we saw what Stroud did for the Houston Texans last year. However, last season there were a lot more quarterback questions in Columbus, Ohio, but that didn’t slow down Harrison at all. He had only 10 fewer catches and 52 fewer yards than last season while having 14 touchdowns in each season.

PFN’s Ian Cummings has him ranked as the best prospect in the class and, truly, a generational prospect.
Another big plus for Harrison is the fact that his father, Marvin Harrison Sr., was also an outstanding NFL receiver during his playing days. He is currently fifth all-time in catches (1,102) and ninth all-time in receiving yards (14,580).
The younger Harrison is a professional in every sense of the word and is a guy who would be the best receiver on most teams in the NFL the moment he joins.
