Dan Orlovsky Stirs Trade Talk: Titans Should Target Trevor Lawrence Amid Jags’ Chaos

Orlovsky just threw a bold grenade into the NFL rumor mill, and it’s boom – a game changer. He’s telling the Titans to call up the Jacksonville Jaguars and make a stunning offer for Trevor Lawrence.

“If I were the Titans, I would call the Jacksonville Jaguars and try to trade for Trevor Lawrence. And if I was Trevor Lawrence, I would want the absolute heck out of Jacksonville. I would want the absolute heck out of the mess that is the Jacksonville Jaguars,” Orlovsky said.

The Jags have been a circus show for years, and Orlovsky doesn’t mince words. He calls it a “mess,” and frankly, he’s got a point. The team’s dysfunction is practically a Netflix drama in the making. Orlovsky goes deep, saying the Jaguars have been wrecking Lawrence’s psyche and confidence, leaving him to wonder what could’ve been.

But here’s the kicker: Orlovsky isn’t just calling out the Jags’ mess; he’s giving them a reality check. “You got to rebuild Trevor Lawrence’s mindset, his psyche, and his confidence. But if I’m Tennessee, and I’m looking at it all, I’m calling Jacksonville and saying, okay, because you don’t know what’s going on in Jacksonville. It’s a mess, right?” he said, dropping some serious shade.

Could this trade ever happen? Probably not. But Orlovsky’s point hits hard: If you’re Lawrence, do you really want to keep riding out the Jags’ storm, or is it time to find some stability? The ball’s in the Jaguars’ court, but the Titans could be eyeing their future QB like never before.

    Lawrence’s Rough Year in Jacksonville

Lawrence’s 2024 season ended when he was placed on injured reserve ahead of Week 14 following a brutal hit from Azeez Al-Shaair in Week 13. Also dealing with a non-throwing shoulder injury, it was a smart decision to shut him down with the Jacksonville Jaguars officially eliminated from playoff contention.

This was an ugly season for Lawrence, and it’s hard not to have major concerns about him at this point. He hasn’t graded above a C+ in Pro Football Network’s Quarterback+ rankings for an entire season through the first four years and has declined in each of the last two years. Hopefully, a change in head coach will reignite Lawrence’s fading career.

Lawrence struggled when under pressure this season (33rd; -0.48) and ranks 37th converting on third downs (30.3%). His other numbers aren’t as bad, but the cumulative impact is that his grade is the second-worst of his career, ahead of just his rookie season.
