Who are the most notable fantasy WR injury updates to have on your radar for Week 15?

Keeping your fantasy football team up to date is crucial for success during the fantasy football playoffs. Some of the most notable pass-catchers on the fantasy WR injury update for Week 15, as aforementioned, include DeVante Parker, Mike Williams, Brandin Cooks, D.J. Moore, Deebo Samuel, and Julio Jones. That’s a lot of potential points that could sway what happens in your playoff game.

Below is information regarding their Week 15 fantasy injury report and status, along with additional wide receivers around the league — those of which are sorted by conference.

DeVante Parker has a lower leg injury, questionable for Week 15

Update, Sunday, December 20th: DeVante Parker is inactive for the Miami Dolphins Week 15 matchup with the New England Patriots.

Miami Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker was forced out of the Week 14 game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a lower leg injury. Parker left the game just before the conclusion of the first half and would not return to action. He finished the game without a catch for the first time this season.

An official diagnosis of his injury is yet to be announced, but his status for Week 15 remains in question. Parker has been somewhat of a dud for fantasy owners, as he has only breached 100 receiving yards twice this season, and has no other games of 70+ receiving yards.

Mike Williams suffered a back injury in Week 14, Week 15 up in the air

Update, Thursday, December 17th: Mike Williams is active for the Chargers Week 15 matchup.

After taking a hit during the Los Angeles Chargers’ game against the Atlanta Falcons, receiver Mike Williams left the game with a back injury. He did not return to the field after the injury occurred during the Chargers Week 14 victory. Receiving no targets in the game, Williams did not record a catch. The big receiver for the Chargers has dealt with injuries at times this season and could miss extended time again depending on the severity of the injury.

With a big Week 15 matchup against the Raiders coming up, the Chargers offense will need their big target on the field. It is possible that Mike Williams could miss the remainder of the season.

Brandin Cooks did not play in Week 14 but could be available for Week 15

Update, Sunday, December 20th: Brandin Cooks is active for the Houston Texans Week 15 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.

Although he practiced consecutive days leading up to the weekend, Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks did not play in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears. Cooks was dealing with a knee and neck injury, as well as a concussion from Week 13. Cooks has a long history of concussions in his playing career. While he was a participant in practices, holding him out of the loss to Chicago was likely beneficial for Cooks. He remains a question mark for Week 15.

The Texans need to make sure they have all the receiving help they can get for Deshaun Watson against the Colts. Cooks has been one of Watson’s most consistent targets this season, so it’s alarming for the Texans to find him on the fantasy WR injury update for Week 15.

Julio Jones was out for Week 14 and remains questionable for Week 15

Update, Sunday, December 20th: Julio Jones will not play in Week 15.

After reaggravating a hamstring injury that has been bothering him this season, the Atlanta Falcons held their star receiver, Julio Jones, out for Week 14. The Falcons’ offense has been noticeably worse without Jones on the field. They haven’t been getting the same production from Calvin Ridley as they’ve gotten in the past, partly due to Jones being on the sideline. It’s unknown if Jones will be able to play in Week 15 against Tampa Bay at this point. If Jones can’t go next week, it may mean his season could be over.

D.J. Moore missed Week 14 but should be available for Week 15

Update, Saturday, December 19th: DJ Moore is active for the Panthers Week 15 matchup.

After dealing with an ankle injury and landing on the reserve list last week, the Carolina Panthers’ dynamic receiver, D.J. Moore, should be back for Week 15. Moore was placed on the reserve list before the Panthers Week 14 matchup with Denver. Moore’s ankle injury has subsided, and he should be able to play this week against the Packers if he is activated.

Carolina’s passing game did fine without him, but his presence adds another element to the Panthers’ offense. He has helped out fantasy managers tremendously, going for over 90 receiving yards six times this season.

Deebo Samuel left Week 14 with a hamstring injury, leaving the season in doubt

Updated, Wednesday, December 16th: Head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated Monday that a hamstring strain will keep Samuel out for the rest of the regular season, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

After leaving the San Francisco 49ers’ Week 14 game against Washington with a hamstring injury, wide receiver Deebo Samuel’s season is in doubt. Having dealt with injuries this season already, Samuel’s injury on Sunday did not bode well for the rest of his season. Coach Kyle Shanahan said his injury “did not look good.” He will be getting an MRI to find out the severity of his injury, but the injured reserve is likely the plan for the second-year receiver.

Samuel has been a disappointment for fantasy owners this season, hoping he would build on his strong rookie campaign. Samuel has only played in six games and has scored once this season. Fantasy managers should look to find another receiving option before their next playoff matchup.
