NFL Week 16 Underdog Pickā€™ems for Sunday Include Adam Thielen and Jordan Addison

With a holiday slate of Sunday games, here are our top Underdog pick'ems for Week 16 of the 2023 NFL season.

Fantasy football is more than just the weekly head-to-head games we’ve all grown to love. On Underdog, fantasy managers can put their player-projection skills to the test by predicting player stat lines. Here are my top Underdog plays for the Sunday slate of Week 16 games.

Top Underdog Pick’ems for Week 16

Underdog Pick’ems allows fantasy managers to predict stat lines and fantasy-point totals for almost all fantasy-relevant players. You can make two picks that pay out 3x, even money, or add more selections to your entry for higher payouts.

The levels are 3x, 6x, 10x, and 20x, progressing with each additional pick’em you add to your entry. Let’s look at this week’s Underdog Pick’ems for the Sunday slate.

For the Sunday slate, there are far more games than the individual prime-time games. Underdog entries are limited to five pick’ems. Most weeks, there will be more than five pick’ems I like. Additionally, hitting a five-pick-’em entry is hard. I don’t want to consistently go 3-2 or 4-1 and lose.

As a result, I will limit this list to my favorite picks of the week. At the bottom of this article, I used to provide my pick’em entry, which consists of three to four of my top pick’ems. Unfortunately, due to new regulations in New York, I can no longer play these myself. To compensate, I will list the pick’ems in order of confidence.

Tucker Kraft Lower Than 34.5 Receiving Yards

The rookie has played very well since taking over for Luke Musgrave as the Packers’ TE1. He’s totaled at least 37 receiving yards in three straight games.

But let’s not pretend like Kraft is seeing some massive target share. His target counts have been six, four, and six over those past three contests.

This week, he should also suffer from the run-heavy game plan. In addition, the Panthers allow the fifth-fewest receiving yards per game to tight ends. Kraft is likely to put up something like a 3-30 line this week.

Adam Thielen Higher Than 45.5 Receiving Yards

The Adam Thielen decline is very real. The 33-year-old is clearly fading, and he’s nowhere near the force he was early in the season. He’s gone higher than this number just once in his last four games. But there’s reason to believe he can do it this week.

We just saw the Packers get torched by Chris Godwin last week. They have been exceptionally vulnerable to the slot all season. Thielen leads the NFL in slot snaps. He should get peppered with targets and sail past this number.

Jordan Addison Lower Than 51.5 Receiving Yards

For the past 3-4 weeks, Jordan Addison’s receiving projection has consistently been in the mid-to-low 30s. Suddenly, after one big game, it’s back up pushing 50? Why?

I love Addison. He’s really talented. But last week was a fluke. Prior to last week, Addison’s best yardage performance over the previous three weeks was 44. This should be a week where Nick Mullens leans heavily on Justin Jefferson. Plus, we have a T.J. Hockenson revenge game. I do not have confidence in him to support three pass catchers, leaving Addison as the odd man out.
