The Green Bay Packers offense has started to come alive in the last few weeks. Entering Thanksgiving, they had scored 20 or more points in two of the last three and totaled over 390 yards in all three games. That offensive output continued to show up on the national stage, and this offense looks a lot different now than it did a few weeks ago.

With Jordan Love topping 250 passing yards and averaging over two passing touchdowns per game in the last three weeks, what does it mean for the fantasy value of his pass catchers?

Let’s take a look at the fantasy football value of Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and Romeo Doubs.

    Christian Watson

The Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions saw Christian Watson post season-high numbers in both receptions and receiving yards with a quarter left to play. The second-year WR has struggled to get traction after an explosive start to his rookie year. Between injuries and issues catching the ball, Watson has driven fantasy managers crazy this season.

The other problem has been the inconsistent usage this season. This was his fifth game seeing five or more targets this season, but two of the previous three games before the Thanksgiving matchup saw him get fewer than five targets. The positive from the past two weeks is that Watson has back-to-back touchdown receptions in this new-look offense.

If Watson can put his drop issues behind him, then he can be a useful fantasy contributor down the stretch. However, there is still uncertainty over how this offense will share targets going forward when Wicks recovers from his concussion.

    Jayden Reed

Reed is a player that the Packers seem very keen to get involved as often as they can. He finished the game with eight targets and two carries for the most opportunities of any non-RB on the roster at that point. Including Thanksgiving, he has averaged more than six targets per game in the last three games.

Reed has become one of the more consistent members of this offense, but you still feel he is touchdown-dependent. That Thanksgiving game was not his most consistent performance, as he posted a 50% catch rate after being in the 90% range for the previous three weeks.

Reed is perhaps the most talented in this WR room, but the rookie is still making plenty of errors. Until he cuts those out, his fantasy value is going to continue to be inconsistent and make him tough to trust on a weekly basis.

    Dontayvion Wicks

Wicks missed the Week 12 Thanksgiving game due to a concussion but had been the rising star of this offense. The previous three games had seen him pull in 10 receptions on 13 targets for 191 yards as his role seemingly became more consistent in the offense.

Watson thrived in Wicks’ absence, making it tough to know what the usage of Wicks will be when he can return in Week 13.

Will the Packers slot him back into that role of 4-5 targets per game, or will he be relegated back to a barely used option? The one player in this passing game that seemed to be heading into trustworthiness is now a huge question mark for Week 13.

    Romeo Doubs

Doubs leads the Packers when it comes to targets this season, but he also seemingly feels like the forgotten man in the offense at times. While he was held out of the end zone on Thanksgiving, he had four touchdowns in the previous five games. The problem for Doubs is that his fantasy profile very much has a touchdown-or-bust quality.

Despite seeing 36 targets in the past seven weeks, Doubs has only topped 50 yards once in that time span. Without those four touchdowns, his performances would have been largely forgettable in non-PPR formats. Based on usage alone, Doubs is perhaps the most reliable PPR option in this offense, and his touchdown consistency in recent weeks gives him the best non-PPR upside as well.
