Fantasy TE Streamers and Rankings Week 17: Tucker Kraft and Gerald Everett Headline TE Options

It's time to win a fantasy football championship, and there are a few options that could help you get there with all the chips in the middle of the table!

This time of year involves a thin waiver wire with limited options. That said, fantasy football TE streamers who are fighting the good fight need to end the season with some production, and I am here to help.

Top TE Streamers for Week 17

Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers (at Broncos)

If you’re streaming the TE position, you’re grasping for any optimistic trend that you can get. In the first two games with Easton Stick playing significant time, Everett posted a solid 22.2% target share, and then last week against the Bills, the creativity of the Bolts with their versatile tight end was on full display.

Coming out of the first quarter break, a red zone screen pass out of a unique formation went his way, and it was followed on a scramble drill by Stick that resulted in Everett adapting his route and being tackled at the 1-yard line.

You’re not going to find a perfect tight end on your wire, and Everett isn’t the exception. We’ve seen a capped yardage ceiling all season long (yet to reach 50 yards), and his next season with five touchdown catches will be his first.

But in an offense with limited options, Everett’s volume (8+ targets in three straight, his three highest target totals of the season) appears safe, and in a low-octane pass game, that role projects well in a PPR setting.

Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers (vs. Vikings)

The Packers are the perfect target for a TE streamer this time of year — they are a team that is still technically alive in the playoff chase and is trying to develop a young quarterback who is navigating a variety of receiver injuries. What more could you ask for?

Kraft’s athletic profile has a way of shining through on a consistent basis (27+ yard catch in three straight games and in four of his past six), something that few offer at the position outside of the elite.

The Vikings’ defense is trending in the right direction, but that’s not enough to worry me about a prospect like this in a strong role!

Chigoziem Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans (at Texans)

I’m not ready to project another Derrick Henry touchdown pass, but 5+ targets in four of five games is enough to land you on my TE radar.

In a perfect world, Will Levis is back under center to elevate the scoring equity of all involved in this offense. The Texans are a bottom 10 yards per pass attempt and no better than league average in an assortment of red-zone metrics.

There are certainly limitations in expectations when it comes to hitching your wagon to the Titans’ offense in any capacity.

That much we know, but a TE who is capable of making plays with the ball in his hands and is getting a fair number of looks on a consistent basis is worth a look, and that’s exactly what we have here!
