Fantasy football managers who will be without Logan Thomas and Trey McBride this week are going to have to make some tough lineup decisions on who to start or sit at the TE position.
Here are some of my start/sit options at the TE position for Week 14 of NFL action.
Which TE Should You Start in Fantasy This Week?
Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears
Cole Kmet may be in the midst of a three-game drought from finding the end zone, but his seven receptions for 43 yards on seven targets against the Vikings in Week 12 showcase he’s still a big part of this passing attack.

Kmet’s 56 receptions for 482 yards and five scores have him as the TE6 overall in PPR formats. Despite a slow day against the Lions earlier this season, Detroit’s defense has allowed three touchdowns to opposing tight ends over the last two games. Start Kmet with confidence in Week 14.
Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
The expanded role for Tucker Kraft continued against the Chiefs on Sunday night. Kraft hauled in three of his six targets for 37 yards, which is encouraging in comparison to his two receptions on just targets for 15 yards in Week 12.
It could have been an even bigger fantasy performance last week had Love simply elected to throw to the wide-open Kraft as opposed to his other TE — Ben Sims — for an easy score from one yard out.
Look for Kraft to build off of an encouraging Week 13 outing heading into their matchup against the Giants.
Which TE Should You Sit in Fantasy This Week?
Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After consecutive four-reception and 40+ yard performances, Cade Otton didn’t see a single target in Week 13 against the Panthers. He appeared to be emerging as a consistent pass-catching contributor in Tampa Bay’s passing game, but his goose egg on Sunday is certainly a setback.
Otton feels like a high-risk, low-reward TE option heading into the team’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14.

Should You Start Cole Kmet or Gerald Everett?
The Los Angeles Chargers passing game has practically been begging for a quality third option alongside Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler, but Gerald Everett has failed to make a true fantasy difference this season. Sure, his average of four receptions for 43.5 yards over the last two games is encouraging, but his ceiling hasn’t been anywhere in the same galaxy as Kmet this season.

Everett is a fine streaming option, but I’ll take Kmet in a heartbeat, given these two options.
Should You Start Tucker Kraft or Kyle Pitts?
To add to the misery of fantasy shareholders of Kyle Pitts this season, Atlanta Falcons TE MyCole Pruitt registered his first receiving touchdown of the season on his only reception of the game on Sunday against the Jets.
Pitts did see eight targets in Week 13 but continues to see frustrating usage in the passing game. He was only on the football field for 50% of the offensive snaps against the New Orleans Saints back in Week 12.
Compare that to Kraft, who has been on the field for 95% of the offensive snaps for two straight games while seeing his targets triple from Week 12 to 13. I believe Kraft is actually a slightly better fantasy play in Week 14 against the Giants.
