The Top WRs To Start in Week 12

Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens (at LAC)

Analysis by Jason Katz | For the better part of the past month, Zay Flowers has been quite disappointing, as has just one game with more than 8.0 fantasy points. His best outing of the season continues to be his first one. With just one touchdown on the season, Flowers hasn’t been able to provide fantasy managers with that spike game. Well, I think this is the week.

    MORE: Fantasy News Tracker

Flowers suddenly has a lot going for him. For starters, Mark Andrews is out. That opens up roughly 25% of Lamar Jackson’s targets, and they’re certainly not all going to Isaiah Likely.

But more importantly, it’s the opponent. The Los Angeles Chargers allow the second-most PPG to wide receivers. Flowers is the clear WR1, and there’s a chance this game could be sneaky high-scoring. Look for Jackson to pepper his new top pass catcher with targets. If Flowers finds the end zone, I think 20 fantasy points is realistic this week.

    DJ Moore, Chicago Bears

Analysis by Kyle Soppe | The Bears wanted to keep Justin Fields comfortable, and that resulted in more rush attempts (18) than completions (16). Even with the limited number of throws, Moore had no problem paying off loyal fantasy managers who went back to him in Fields’ return to action.

In the heartbreaking loss to the Detroit Lions, Moore earned 40.9% of the targets, bumping his rate during Fields’ past three healthy games to a robust 35.4%. The lack of volume and matchup against an improving defense would normally scare me, but given the eyes that Fields has for the WR1 that he hasn’t had in the past, Moore is a WR2 for me this week.

I’m comfortable in playing him ahead of star receivers like the Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase, the Seattle Seahawks’ DK Metcalf, and the Washington Commanders’ Terry McLaurin.
