Who Are the Best Kickers To Draft in Fantasy?

    Younghoe Koo, Atlanta Falcons

It was a tough year in 2023 for Younghoe Koo. Although he made 86.5% of his field goals, he only attempted 28 extra points, the lowest mark in the last four years. A big part of the problem was the Falcons’ 1970s offense.

This year, things should be much better. Kirk Cousins takes over at quarterback. Raheem Morris provides a coaching upgrade. Zac Robinson, as offensive coordinator, should have this offense scoring a whole lot more.

Additionally, Koo only made three kicks from 50+ last season on six attempts. He was 7-for-11 the year before. Those long kicks are especially valuable in fantasy.

As a reminder, Koo was a top-five kicker in 2022. They say a rising tide lifts all boats. Everything about the Falcons’ offense should be better this season, including their kicker. For an added bonus, Koo will play the majority of his games in a dome.

    Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs

You really can never go wrong with Harrison Butker. Even in a down year for the Chiefs’ offense, Butker finished inside the top 10 fantasy kickers.

Butker made all of his extra points last season and 94.3% of his field goals. For his career, he’s made 89.1% of them.

Last season, the Chiefs had their worst offense during the Patrick Mahomes era. They’ve since added two new wide receivers, both of whom should help restore this offense to the juggernaut we remember.

Back in 2018, Butker attempted 69 extra points. While he’s never getting to that number again, it’s unfathomable to think he only kicked 38 of them last season. Look for that number to push 50 this year.

With a few more makes from 40+ and 50+, Butker should return to the ranks of the elite this season.
