Getting your strategy right at the kicker position in fantasy football can be tough because panic can set it, especially when top options start flying off the board early. However, the position often has great depth in a standard 10- or 12-team league, giving you plenty of options.
Our consensus fantasy football rankings allow you to see how the position might fall out and where the different options fall relative to one another. Using the more than 30 years of experience of Derek Tate, Jason Katz, and Kyle Soppe, you can make smart and considered decisions in your fantasy drafts this year.
The rankings below also fuel the PFN Fantasy Football Trade Analyzer and the Trade Value Charts. Therefore, to see how each player compares across positions and scoring formats, check out those, as well as our other fantasy tools.

Who Are the Best Kickers To Draft in Fantasy?
Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens
Justin Tucker remains atop our rankings this year despite coming off back-to-back tough years, at least by his lofty standards. In the last eight years, Tucker has had four years with over a 90% field goal percentage and four years below it. However, two of those came in the last two seasons, and all four have come in the last six years. Is Tucker showing signs of age, or has he just had a couple of blips?
When you look at Tucker’s numbers from the last two years, the problems have largely come from over 50 yards. Under 50 yards, he is 59-for-61 over the last two years, compared to 10-for-19 over 50 yards. Entering his age-35 season, it’s wholly unsurprising to see the distance waning, but he remains a top fantasy option because he has a high floor and the class to still be the top kicker at the end of the season.
The slight dip in his numbers last year may make Tucker a potential value in drafts this year. Historically, he has been taken so high that there was no value in drafting him. However, he’s now in a tier with the others around him, which makes it a lot easier to select him in drafts in 2024.
Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs
The focus has been on Harrison Butker this offseason for all the wrong reasons, but soon the talking will stop, and he can get back to what he does best. After a major wobble in 2022, Butker hit 94.3% of his field goal attempts in 2023, going 5-for-5 from over 50 yards. Butker is a tremendous option on a fantastic offense who should have plenty of opportunities.
The key to remember, though, is that for as good as Butker is, getting sucked into selecting him in the 15th round or earlier would be a mistake. Fantasy managers need to show restraint, because the difference between the first and 10th kicker is often not as wide as the gap when selecting them.
