Which QBs Should You Start in Fantasy This Week?
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
It wasn’t pretty for Jared Goff and this Lions offense in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. They got steamrolled and ended up losing the game 38-6.
The Ravens’ defense is no joke, and Goff had very little time to think as he was under pressure almost every single snap.

However, Goff and Detroit’s offense goes from a matchup against one of the toughest opponents for opposing passing games to the Las Vegas Raiders that just allowed former D2 college QB, Tyson Bagent, to have a decent first NFL start.
Goff and the Lions are going to be looking to get back on track this week and are going to want to put that embarrassing loss behind them as quickly as possible. Expect a motivated offense to come out firing on all cylinders in this one. Goff is a top-10 play.
Which QBs Should You Sit in Fantasy This Week?
Sam Howell, Washington Commanders
It’s been encouraging to see what Sam Howell has done so far this season in his first year as Washington’s starting quarterback. He’s finished outside of the top 15 quarterbacks for fantasy just twice so far, and he’s exceeding expectations.
Unfortunately, Howell’s also on pace to set records for how many times he’s been sacked through seven weeks. He’s currently on pace to be sacked 97 times this season, which is a ridiculous amount.
It doesn’t help that Howell now gets a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense in Week 8 that features an endless stream of pass rushers to create pressure and make life miserable for the second-year QB.
If you have another option, I recommend benching Howell.

Should You Start Jared Goff or Joe Burrow in Week 8?
Fantasy managers are going to be clamoring to start Joe Burrow coming off of the bye week now that he’s shown signs of his calf injury being behind him. Additionally, Goff burnt fantasy managers pretty badly in Week 7.
However, this is still Goff over Burrow due to the matchup. Las Vegas isn’t on the same planet as the San Francisco 49ers from a defensive talent perspective, and Burrow’s going to have his hands full with that offensive line.
Should You Start Bryce Young or Sam Howell?
Surprisingly here, the answer may very well be Bryce Young up against the Houston Texans defense. The Carolina Panthers are throwing the ball at a ridiculous rate so far this season, and Young has finished inside the top 20 QBs in each of the past two games.
Meanwhile, Howell’s going to have a very tough matchup in front of him with the Eagles’ defensive front. I’m going to lean Young here by just a few spots in the QB rankings.
