Fantasy football managers who will be without Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Fields this week are going to have to make some tough lineup decisions on who to start or sit at the QB position.
Here are some of my start/sit options at the QB position for Week 13 of NFL action.
Which QBs Should You Start in Fantasy This Week?
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott is really starting to piece together quite a case for league MVP with his stellar play over the last five games. He has three games where he’s thrown for 300+ yards and four scores during that span, which has shot him up all the way up to QB3 on the fantasy leaderboard this season.
Dallas’ matchup against the Seattle Seahawks will feature a defense that just got dissected by the San Francisco 49ers in front of their home crowd on Thanksgiving night. I’m betting on Prescott continuing his exceptional play in front of his home crowd, where he has thrown 15 touchdown passes to just two interceptions all season long.
Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be three games below .500, but they are still only one game out of first place in the NFC South. It hasn’t always been pretty for Baker Mayfield this year, but he has managed to throw for a score in six straight games.

In a week where elite fantasy signal-callers like Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Fields are on a bye, Mayfield is a quality streaming option who should be available on your waiver wire.
Which QBs Should You Sit in Fantasy This Week?
Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks
Only Geno Smith really knows how much his injured elbow hampered his performance against the 49ers on Thanksgiving Day. Yet, his 180 yards to go with one interception and no scores through the air in Week 12 is certainly a bit concerning.
Unfortunately, the task doesn’t get much easier this week against a Cowboys defense that gave Sam Howell issues all game last week, giving up no TD passes while generating four sacks and an interception against one of the better passing offenses in the league this season.
Until Smith displays a bit more consistency under center, I would look to stream other QB options for your fantasy lineup in Week 13.

Should You Start Dak Prescott or C.J. Stroud?
Houston Texans rookie QB C.J. Stroud is running away with the Offensive Rookie of the Year award with 3,266 yards and 19 passing touchdowns through the first 11 games of the season. However, even his last month of production hasn’t quite been up to Prescott’s level. Stroud also got banged up briefly against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which is worth monitoring.

Stroud is still a top-10 play against the Denver Broncos, but I’m still going to roll with Prescott in Week 13.
Should You Start Geno Smith or Matthew Stafford?
The Los Angeles Rams looked like a completely different offense with RB Kyren Williams back into the fold, which helped Matthew Stafford have his best fantasy day of the year with four touchdown passes against the Arizona Cardinals.
Stafford will be tested against a stout Cleveland Browns defense, but with Williams back in the fold with potentially all of his pass catchers at his disposal, I believe Stafford’s ceiling is a bit higher than Smith’s in Week 13.
