Fantasy football managers who will be without Derek Carr and Gardner Minshew this week are going to have to make some tough lineup decisions on who to start or sit at the QB position.
Here are some of my start/sit options at the QB position for Week 11 of NFL action.
Which QBs Should You Start in Fantasy This Week?
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers
Allow me to take you back to Week 14 of last season, when San Francisco 49ers rookie QB Brock Purdy made his NFL starting debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a game where he would face off against Tom Brady, Purdy registered three total touchdowns against the Bucs defense in a blowout win.

In turn, his performance was a preview of some serious future success. Well, after facing some adversity by throwing five interceptions over a three-game losing streak, Purdy came out of the bye week and responded with a clean 296 passing yards and three scores against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Tampa Bay may have had some success against Tennessee Titans rookie QB Will Levis on Sunday, but they may revert to some of their struggles against opposing passing attacks while facing a fully loaded San Francisco offense.
Joshua Dobbs, Minnesota Vikings
Joshua Dobbs has been a member of the Minnesota Vikings for less than 14 calendar days, and yet he has two 27+ point fantasy performances with the team over the span of two games.
If we go back to his time as the starting QB in Arizona, he has rushed for a TD in four straight games and just carved up one of the better secondaries in the league in Week 10. Dobbs is a solid top-15 play at the QB position against the Denver Broncos this week.
Which QBs Should You Sit in Fantasy This Week?
Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos
On one hand, Broncos QB Russell Wilson has thrown a touchdown pass in every game this season. On the other, he has failed to top 200 yards passing in four straight.
Something has to give against a Vikings defense that blitzes more than any other unit in the league.
Wilson has been sacked 26 times this season and leads the league in pocket time among QBs with more than three starts, which is the average time a quarterback has the ball between the snap and either throwing the ball or being pressured.
When looking at this matchup, I could see Wilson struggling against this hyper-aggressive Vikings defensive unit.

Should You Start Brock Purdy or Trevor Lawrence?
Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has been one of the biggest fantasy football disappointments of the 2023 NFL season. His one fantasy point against the 49ers in Week 10 marks the second-lowest fantasy outing of his entire NFL career.
MORE: Fantasy News Tracker
There is no doubt Lawrence still has a very bright future in the NFL, but the fact of the matter is Purdy is simply the better fantasy option right now. Purdy has more 300-yard passing games and more games of 3+ passing touchdowns than Lawrence this season. I’m rolling with Purdy.
Should You Start Sam Howell or Russell Wilson?
Wilson is having a better season in comparison to his rough 2022 campaign, but he isn’t exactly lighting it up this season, either. Washington Commanders QB Sam Howell has three straight games with 300+ yards passing and a score through the air.
The Commanders are also averaging more than 40 passing attempts per game over their last six contests. The choice is easy here: roll with Howell.
