Top QBs To Start in Week 17
Derek Carr, QB, New Orleans Saints (at Buccaneers)
Don’t look now, but that’s three straight games with multiple TD passes for Carr and a 40+ yard gain in three of five. We know that Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara are strong options and fantasy elevators, but the unlocking of Rashid Shaheed? Now we might be onto something!
The burner out of Weber State saw a season-high nine targets in last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams and, naturally, one turned into a 45-yard score. It’s not that Shaheed is going to produce weekly, but the threat of him opens things up, especially against a defense that tries to cover for a weak secondary with a heavy blitz rate.

All signs point to the Bucs coming after Carr, and that’ll mean single coverage on the perimeter or playing a shell and allowing those dump-offs to Kamara. Or both! Carr might not repeat last week, but he should be more than suitable for those looking to patch together the position in what is the final week of the season in many leagues.
