It’s always a challenge to navigate through injuries in fantasy football. The RB position has several players dealing with issues. The time to set Week 11 lineups is near. What is the latest injury information on D’Onta Foreman, Aaron Jones, and Saquon Barkley?
Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy
D’Onta Foreman, RB, Chicago Bears
In the second quarter of last Thursday’s game, D’Onta Foreman limped off the field and threw his helmet in frustration. It sure looked like he knew he was done for the game.
Fortunately, Foreman was able to return to action and played quite well despite his ankle injury. Foreman carried the ball 21 times for 80 yards and a touchdown while adding two catches for 12 yards.

Foreman’s 53% snap share doesn’t really matter for fantasy purposes. He touched the ball over 20 times for the second consecutive game.
Of course, the injury he sustained was not nothing. According to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, Foreman was noticeably limping in the locker room after the game.
The good news is despite the injury still clearly being an issue, Foreman was able to practice on Wednesday. Any activity on a Wednesday is a positive sign of a player’s availability. Foreman was able to get in a limited session, putting him on track to play this Sunday against the Lions.
As for Foreman’s fantasy value, that remains to be seen. Khalil Herbert remains in his 21-day activation window. He got in a couple of full practices ahead of last Thursday’s game, but the Bears opted not to activate him.
Herbert was also limited on Wednesday. If he practices in full on Thursday and Friday, it would be a surprise if they didn’t activate him ahead of Saturday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline for the week.
At this point, there’s no reason to speculate as to what may or may not happen. Let’s see how the week plays out, pay attention to what we hear from Bears camp, and try and get a read on what this backfield might look like if Herbert returns.
Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers
At this point, we should probably assume Aaron Jones won’t get in a full practice at any point this season. He still hasn’t logged a single one.
Jones does appear to be over his Week 1 hamstring strain that lingered for the better part of two months. But the Packers continue to be cautious with the near 29-year-old.
As a veteran who has been with the Packers his entire career, Jones doesn’t really need to be overexerting himself at practice, especially not on a Wednesday. He was limited, as he has been every time he’s practiced since the season started.
Barring an aggravation of his hamstring on Thursday or Friday, Jones will play on Sunday. He won’t be even listed on the final injury report.
How productive Jones will be is another story. Hopefully, the matchup against a Chargers defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to running backs will help get him going after a lackluster Week 10 effort. Either way, fantasy managers should have no concerns about Jones’ availability for Week 11.
Saquon Barkley, RB, New York Giants
It has been a rough year for the Giants RB1. Between the contract dispute, the high ankle sprain, losing Daniel Jones, losing Tyrod Taylor, and losing a whole bunch of football games, there’s no doubt Saquon Barkley is mired in a bit of a lost season.
For now, he’s still trotting out there every Sunday for fantasy managers. But if Barkley keeps popping up on the injury report, the Giants may eventually opt to just shut him down.

Barkley was limited at Wednesday’s practice with another ankle issue. The limited session puts Barkley on track to play Sunday. Barring a setback, he should be out there, and fantasy managers should not expect any sort of restrictions. The only restrictions on Barkley’s production are those imposed by the team on which he plays.
Fantasy managers will want Barkley this weekend in a rare favorable matchup for the NFL’s worst offense.
