Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy Football
DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks
DK Metcalf had four catches for 69 yards in the 17-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and was actually targeted a fantasy-friendly 10 times. However, there was a scare in the game as Metcalf had to leave with a hip injury.
He went to the locker room late in the third quarter after trying to catch a pass near the end zone. He was initially questionable to come back but eventually did.

This isn’t the only injury that Metcalf has to deal with, as he has also been struggling with a rib injury. He suffered the rib injury early in the season but has been playing through it. The fact that he came back to the game against the Bengals should be a good sign moving forward.
After the game, the talk was more about Metcalf’s penalty issues than the injury. As of now, things look good for him, and he should be able to play against the Arizona Cardinals next week, barring any setback.
Garrett Wilson, New York Jets
The New York Jets picked up one of the best wins of the season, knocking off the previously undefeated Philadelphia Eagles, 20-14. The win moves the team to 3-3 on the year and should have fans much more optimistic than they were when Aaron Rodgers got hurt.
One player who had a big game for the Jets was wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who finished the game with eight catches for 90 yards. He, too, suffered an injury scare, however, that probably gave New York nightmarish flashbacks to Rodgers’ injury.
Wilson fell to the turf on a non-contact injury. He went into the medical tent but came back and seems to have avoided a serious injury.
After the game, head coach Robert Saleh said that Wilson could have gone back in, but they decided to be cautious. Wilson said he is fine but expressed his disappointment with the turf in New York.
“It’s garbage, man,” Wilson told reporters after the game. “You’re out there running, and all of a sudden, your legs aren’t in the same place your head is at.”
Wilson has some extra rest coming up, as the Jets are on a bye. However, the following week, New York will be back on that same MetLife Stadium turf as they take on the Giants.
