There have been more RB injuries than ever this year, and there are several fantasy-relevant players who are battling nagging issues this week. What is the latest on Breece Hall, Ezekiel Elliott, and Aaron Jones, and how should fantasy managers react?
Latest RB Injury Updates
Breece Hall, New York Jets
The New York Jets are circling the drain, and unfortunately, Hall seems to be along for the ride. This season’s RB17 is now questionable for Week 13’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. He is dealing with a hamstring issue, which is new for the RB.
If Hall has to sit on Sunday, New York’s other options in their backfield are Dalvin Cook and Israel Abanikanda. Both are also fighting injury issues, with Cook nursing a shoulder injury and Abanikanda dealing with an illness. Fantasy managers should try to find other options if they can.
Ezekiel Elliott, New England Patriots
Elliott has spent the season backing up Rhamondre Stevenson and is currently the RB40.
He is listed as questionable for the game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday with a thigh issue. Elliott was limited in all three of New England’s practices this week, and fantasy managers will have to keep an eye on the inactives when they are released on Sunday.

If Elliott cannot play, it will be the Stevenson show. This game will probably be an RB show in general, with the QB situation in New England being less than stellar. Backups JaMycal Hasty or Ty Montgomery could also see more work if Elliott is sidelined, but they are not fantasy options.
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers
Jones missed Week 12 due to an injury, and he is looking to miss another game in Week 13. On Friday, head coach Matt LaFleur stated that Jones would miss the game against the Chiefs due to the MCL sprain in his knee.
Jones hurt himself in a game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11 and has not returned to practice since. Since Jones has been absent, it has been AJ Dillon’s backfield. Dillon was RB24 in Week 12 against Detroit, and the Chiefs are middle of the road against RBs.
However, Dillon is also dealing with an injury — he has been battling a groin issue as of late. The backfield is fleshed out with Patrick Taylor, and James Robinson remains on the practice squad. Even with the groin injury, I expect Dillon to play this week.
