Nothing can derail a potentially successful fantasy football season quicker than injuries. That’s especially true at the ever so critical wide receiver position, where elite-level players can make or break a contending fantasy team. As we head into Week 6, several WRs find themselves on the injury report for their respective teams. Therefore, fantasy managers need to pay close attention to any WR injury updates and reports as kickoffs draw close.

Fantasy WR Injury Report | Week 6
After a seemingly brutal week full of injuries, these are the wide receivers to watch for in Week 6 that are currently listed on the injury report.
Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons
Russell Gage missed the Falcons’ Week 5 matchup in London due to an ankle injury. Atlanta has a Week 6 bye, giving him an extra week for rest and recovery.
Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons
Calvin Ridley did not make the trip to London and was ruled out before the game due to a personal matter.
Sammy Watkins, Baltimore Ravens
Sammy Watkins injured his hamstring on Monday Night Football against the Colts. He was initially questionable to return before being ruled out.
Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens
There was talk that Rashod Bateman would make his debut in Week 5, but the Ravens declined to activate him before their game. The team discussed putting him on a snap count Monday, but they are opting to give his groin additional time to heal fully.
Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday [October 11] that he’s unsure if Jarvis Landry (MCL) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of the team’s Week 6 game against the Cardinals.
Quintez Cephus, Detroit Lions
The Lions have placed Quintez Cephus on IR after he sustained a broken collarbone Sunday. He is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Tyrell Williams, Detroit Lions
Tyrell Williams has been on IR due to a concussion he sustained in Week 2. He would be eligible to return in Week 6. However, Lions head coach Dan Campbell suggested Tuesday [October 12] that Williams is not on track to be activated from injured reserve ahead of the team’s Week 6 game against the Bengals, per Justin Rogers of The Detroit News.
Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs
According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Tyreek Hill isn’t expected to miss time after he sustained a minor knee injury in Sunday’s loss to the Bills.
DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins
DeVante Parker was officially listed with a shoulder issue on the injury report, but a recent hamstring injury is what forced Parker to miss Week 5.
Week 6 Fantasy WR Injury Report
There are plenty of WRs dealing with injuries — let’s take a look at a few more.
Deonte Harris, New Orleans Saints
Deonte Harris injured his hamstring during the Saints’ Week 5 game and was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Before his departure, Harris recorded a catch on his only target for a 72-yard touchdown.
Kenny Golladay, New York Giants
ESPN Insider Jeremy Fowler reports Kenny Golladay has been diagnosed with a hyperextended knee, which he sustained during Week 5. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Golladay will miss at least one game as a result of the injury.
Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard, New York Giants
Both Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard were inactive for Week 5 as they continued to recover from hamstring injuries sustained in Week 3. Neither receiver practiced in the lead-up to last week’s game.
JuJu Smith-Schuster, Pittsburgh Steelers
Head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed that JuJu Smith-Schuster will undergo season-ending surgery Wednesday for the right shoulder injury he sustained in Sunday’s win over Denver. Tomlin added that Smith-Schuster will be placed on injured reserve. Smith-Schuster signed a one-year deal to return to the Steelers after finding a stagnant free-agent market. He will now turn his focus to his recovery and pending free agency in 2022.
James Washington, Pittsburgh Steelers
Tomlin said Tuesday [October 12] that he expects James Washington (groin) to get some practice work in early this week, potentially putting the receiver on track to play Sunday against the Seahawks. Washington was a mid-week addition to the injury report Week 5.
Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chris Godwin (knee/ankle) was a limited participant in Tuesday’s practice, Carmen Vitali of the Buccaneers’ official site reports. For the second straight day, Tampa Bay submitted an estimated report for their walkthrough session. The Buccaneers play the Eagles on Thursday Night Football, giving Godwin a limited timeframe to recover.
Julio Jones, Tennessee Titans
Julio Jones (hamstring) was ruled out before the Titans’ Week 5 game and missed his second straight week. He did not record a practice in the lead-up to the game.
Curtis Samuel, Washington Football Team
Washington head coach Ron Rivera said Monday [October 11] that Curtis Samuel is considered week-to-week after re-aggravating his groin, per Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post.
