Nothing can derail a potentially successful fantasy football season quicker than injuries. That’s especially true at the ever-so-critical wide receiver position, where elite-level players can make or break a contending fantasy team. As we head into Week 12, several WRs find themselves on the injury report for their respective teams. Therefore, fantasy managers need to pay close attention to any WR injury updates and reports as NFL kickoffs draw near.
Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 12 | AFC
In the middle of what has seemed like a brutal season full of injuries, these are the fantasy-relevant WRs in the AFC currently on the NFL’s Week 12 injury report. With some players trending in the wrong direction, many fantasy managers might need to start considering secondary options.
Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens
Marquise Brown was ruled out for Week 11 against the Chicago Bears due to a thigh injury. Brown practiced once last week and initially was listed as questionable. It was not originally feared to be a multi-week injury.
Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns
Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday he expects Jarvis Landry (knee) to continue playing through his lingering injury. Landry appeared to re-injure his knee in the third quarter but was able to return in the fourth.
Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns
Donovan Peoples-Jones was inactive for Week 11 due to a groin injury. He was a limited participant on Friday but never seemed close to suiting up based on reports.
Will Fuller, Miami Dolphins
Dolphins head coach Brian Flores said Monday that he’s unsure whether Will Fuller (finger) will be designated to return from injured reserve in Week 12, David Furones of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Fuller has not played since Week 4 and has only participated in two games after signing with the Dolphins in the offseason.
DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins
Furones also reported Flores is uncertain if DeVante Parker (shoulder) would be designated for return from IR as well. Parker is eligible to return as early as Sunday’s upcoming game. He last played in Week 8 and has missed six of the last seven games.
A.J. Brown, Tennessee Titans
According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, chest X-rays came back negative on A.J. Brown after he was forced out of Sunday’s game due to a chest/rib injury. He also suffered a hand injury earlier in the contest.
Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 12 | NFC
Which NFC wide receivers currently sit on the injury report ahead of Week 12? Who is in danger of missing their matchup this week, leaving fantasy managers in a difficult position?
Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported on Monday that Falcons head coach Arthur Smith doesn’t have an update on Calvin Ridley’s status. Ridley was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list after he stepped away from football to focus on his mental well-being.
Darnell Mooney, Chicago Bears
According to the Bears’ estimated practice report, Darnell Mooney (foot) was a limited participant. Mooney has been listed as an LP for both of the Bears’ practices this week ahead of their Thanksgiving matchup with the Detroit Lions.
Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears
The Bears’ estimated practice also indicates that Allen Robinson (hamstring) was a non-participant for the second straight day. Robinson missed Week 11 and is trending towards missing Week 12. He will enter Thursday either questionable or doubtful.
Amari Cooper, Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that Amari Cooper was asymptomatic upon testing positive for COVID-19 on November 19, per Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News.
Cooper will miss the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game due to the timing of his positive test.
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
Gehlken also reported CeeDee Lamb (concussion) was a non-participant on the Cowboys’ estimated practice report Tuesday. Given the timing of Lamb’s concussion, he appears to be a longshot to play on Thanksgiving.
Sterling Shepard, New York Giants
Sterling Shepard (quadriceps) was ruled inactive for Monday night’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Shepard did not practice all week and has appeared in just two games since Week 3.
Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Antonio Brown (ankle) was ruled out ahead of the Buccaneers’ Week 11 Monday night game against the Giants. Brown has missed the last four games as he continues to rehab.
