Nothing can derail a potentially successful fantasy football season quicker than injuries. That’s especially true at the ever-so-critical wide receiver position, where elite-level players can make or break a contending fantasy team. As we head into Week 8, several WRs find themselves on the injury report for their respective teams. Therefore, fantasy managers need to pay close attention to any WR injury updates and reports as NFL kickoffs draw near.

Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 8 | AFC
Which AFC WRs are dealing with the injury bug?
Sammy Watkins, Baltimore Ravens
Sammy Watkins missed his second straight game in Week 7 due to a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 5 against the Colts. The Ravens have a bye in Week 8, and the team hopes he can rejoin them for their November 9 matchup against the Vikings.
Odell Beckham Jr., Cleveland Browns
Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) participated in Monday’s practice. Beckham has been dealing with a right shoulder injury that he appeared to re-aggravate in the Browns’ Week 7 Thursday night game against the Broncos.
Jarvis Landry, Cleveland Browns
According to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal, Jarvis Landry did not participate in practice Monday as he deals with a knee injury. After missing four weeks, Landry returned from a sprained MCL in his left knee for last Thursday’s game. Landry was targeted 8 times and had 5 catches for 37 yards.
Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns
Ulrich also reported Donovan Peoples-Jones did not practice on Monday as he deals with a groin injury he picked up in the pregame warmups for TNF. Peoples-Jones has 13 receptions, 228 yards, and 2 touchdowns on the season.
Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos
James Palmer of NFL Network reported Tuesday Jerry Jeudy is “good to go” for Sunday’s Week 8 matchup against Washington. Jeudy was placed on IR in Week 1 with a high ankle sprain. He was cleared to practice last weekend and apparently hasn’t experienced any setbacks in the following days.
DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins
DeVante Parker was ruled inactive for Sunday’s game due to a shoulder and hamstring injury. Parker was able to practice on a limited basis but has missed three straight games.
Fantasy WR Injury Report Week 8 | NFC
Which NFC wide receivers currently sit on the injury report ahead of Week 8?
DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona Cardinals
Josh Weinfuss of ESPN reports DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant at Tuesday’s practice. Hopkins has been a DNP for both of the Cardinals’ practices this week. They’re on a short week, playing against the Packers on Thursday. The Wednesday report will be very telling as to Hopkins’ availability for Week 8.
Terrace Marshall Jr., Carolina Panthers
Terrace Marshall Jr. was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Giants due to a concussion. He needs to pass NFL concussion protocols before he can return to action.
Michael Gallup, Dallas Cowboys
Rob Phillips of the Cowboys’ official site reports the Cowboys designated Michael Gallup (calf) to return from injured reserve Monday. Gallup has been on the IR since straining his calf in Week 1. Having had six weeks to recover, Gallup could be an instant contributor once he comes back.
Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported the Packers have placed WR Davante Adams on the COVID-19 list. Adams said earlier this season that he is vaccinated. Protocols require that he test negative twice, 24 hours apart, and be asymptomatic for 48 hours in order to be eligible to play against the 7-0 Cardinals.
Allen Lazard, Green Bay Packers
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports Allen Lazard has been placed on the COVID-19 reserved list for Week 8. Lazard, who was listed on Tuesday as a close contact of teammate Davante Adams, isn’t eligible to play Thursday against the Cardinals. Since he is unvaccinated, he must remain away from the team for at least five days and will need to continue testing negative before clearing the NFL’s COVID-19 protocol.
Deonte Harris, New Orleans Saints
Deonte Harris was ruled out for Week 7 and has not played since injuring his hamstring in Week 5.
Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints
Rapoport of NFL Network reports Michael Thomas (ankle) is still multiple weeks away from returning. After undergoing left ankle surgery, Thomas began the 2021 season on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list.
Kenny Golladay, New York Giants
Kenny Golladay was ruled out for Week 7 and has not played since hyperextending his knee against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5.
Sterling Shepard, New York Giants
While still dealing with a hamstring injury, Sterling Shepard was ruled out of Week 7. His status came down to a pregame decision during warmups, but he was not ready to return. The fact he was a game-time decision bodes well for his Week 8 availability.
Kadarius Toney, New York Giants
After missing practice all week, Kadarius Toney was ruled out for Week 7 as he deals with an ankle injury. Toney further aggravated his ankle in the first quarter of the Week 6 loss to the Rams.
Antonio Brown, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Antonio Brown was ruled out of Week 7 due to an ankle injury. There is hope he returns in Week 8 against Washington. However, with a bye in Week 9, Tampa could opt to hold him out, which would give Brown an extra week to rehab.
