Best IDP Players To Start in Week 14

    Germaine Pratt, LB, Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals are in a spiral and struggling so badly on defense that the team is likely to miss the playoffs. That doesn’t mean that all of their IDP assets are struggling, however. But unfortunately, Cincinnati will be without its top linebacker, Logan Wilson, for the rest of 2024.

Now, the Bengals will lean on their LB2, Germaine Pratt, to be the top guy going forward.

Pratt is already an every-down guy, but he’ll see more responsibility. In Cincinnati’s first game without Wilson, Pratt totaled 13 tackles, and more of the same can be expected in a Monday night matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

Tyler Nubin, S, New York Giants

Speaking of crazy tackle totals, Tyler Nubin is on an absolute heater with his tackle totals to end his rookie season. My post-draft No. 1 safety from an IDP (and real-life) perspective, Nubin has now hit 12 combined tackles in each of his last three games. That is remarkable consistency from a defensive back.

Nubin has been the New York Giants’ primary box presence at safety in 2024, and it’s been such a great fit for his value. He’s tied for first with defensive leader Bobby Okereke, who’s likely out at least this week. This will open more opportunities for Nubin to get tackles and play an even stronger box role.

Don’t hesitate to throw the rookie back in there again in Week 14.
