    Published on

For those who missed the fantasy playoffs, their attention has turned towards the offseason in dynasty. Which QBs are trending up in the rankings?

The fact that there have been 76 different starting quarterbacks through the first 16 weeks of the 2023 NFL season has made ranking these signal callers in a dynasty format a tricky task.

Which players are making a great case for a starting role next year, and which players are short-term Band-Aids with very little future value? Let’s take a closer look at my updated dynasty fantasy football QB rankings heading into Week 17.

    Dynasty Risers After Week 16

    Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

After consecutive seasons where Lamar Jackson has finished the season riddled with injuries, he’s currently the front-runner for league MVP.

With just two games remaining, Jackson is producing his first 3,000-yard passing season since his 2019 campaign to go alongside an additional 786 yards and five scores on the ground.

Jackson’s evolution as a passer in 2023 should give dynasty shareholders all the confidence in the world with regards to his elite fantasy upside having a longer shelf life if he loses a step as a runner around the age of 30.

Either way, Jackson’s phenomenal season has seen him climb the dynasty rankings board heading into the NFL playoffs.

    Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

At one point in the middle of the season, the Green Bay Packers had to be contemplating whether or not Jordan Love was truly the quarterback of the future. From Weeks 4 to 8, the Packers went on a four-game losing streak where Love averaged just 209 passing yards per game and threw just four TDs to seven INTs.

Fortunately for the Packers faithful, Love has bounced back in a big way over the last seven games. Since Week 10, Love has averaged 267 yards through the air to go with 15 TDs and only three INTs.

His drastic improvement not only has Green Bay back in the NFC playoff picture, but has certainly made a compelling case for him to be the team’s quarterback heading into the 2024 season and beyond.
