Fantasy Football TE Week 11 Trade Targets: Buy Low, Sell High Players Include Evan Engram and George Kittle

Tight end remains the weakest position in fantasy football. Which TEs, if any, should fantasy managers trade for or away ahead of Week 11?

The TE position remains the weakest in fantasy football. That makes trading for tight ends exceedingly difficult. Unraveling all that we saw in Week 10 and translating it into Week 11 TE trade targets is where fantasy managers can differentiate themselves.

To help you get your head around it all, here are our thoughts on some tight ends to buy low or sell high entering Week 11.

Which TEs Should You Trade for in Fantasy Football?

    Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars

It’s hard to take anything away from the Jacksonville Jaguars’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Quite simply, they didn’t show up.

Even in a disastrous outing, Evan Engram saw seven targets. It was his eighth consecutive game with at least seven targets.

He’s not an exciting option, but he’s a reliable one, with at least four catches in every game this season. I wouldn’t pay a lot for him, but he’s better than a replacement TE.

Which TEs Should You Trade Away in Fantasy Football?

    George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers

I remain steadfast in my belief that George Kittle is the best tight end in football. But in fantasy football … not so much.

This week, Kittle had one of those games where he broke free for a long touchdown. He does that. But he also only saw four targets. His three catches were par for the course when all the 49ers’ weapons were healthy. The 116 yards were not.

Kittle has more than three receptions in a game just three times this season. He has four games with under 5.0 fantasy points.

I’m not saying to get rid of Kittle. But if someone is interested in treating him like a top-five TE, you can sell him because he’s closer to replacement level than a high-end guy.

Should You Trade George Kittle for Travis Kelce?

Travis Kelce underwhelmed in his two games before the Kansas City Chiefs bye. But he’s still the best tight end in fantasy by a wide margin.

George Kittle’s volume is never there when the 49ers have all their skill-position guys healthy. You are hoping he scores, which he often does. But even with the touchdowns, Kittle rarely posts the ceiling games that Kelce does.

If you can package Kittle with another piece to acquire Kelce, do that right now.

Should You Trade Dalton Schultz for Evan Engram?

Last week, Dalton Schultz had a great matchup against a Cincinnati Bengals defense that struggles against the tight end position. He took advantage with four catches for 71 yards. Schultz has now posted TE1 numbers in five of his last six games.

Well, the schedule is about to turn hard on Schultz. The matchups get tougher immediately, but specifically in Weeks 15-17, the Houston Texans play two of the best teams at defending the tight end (it’s only two because they play the Tennessee Titans twice).

Engram’s usage and role have been consistent all season. For as bad as the Jaguars played last week, better days are ahead. Eventually, he’s going to score a touchdown.

It’s always tricky at tight end because of how much a touchdown influences performance. But Engram has been productive without scoring at all. For that reason alone, he’s worth acquiring, especially for a guy who has likely already seen his best days this season.
