Heading into Week 17 of the 2021 season, what information do we have on RB injuries, and how will they affect your fantasy football lineups? Week 17 Fantasy Football RB Injury Report | AFC

The AFC is no stranger to RB injuries, and the number of players on the Week 17 injury report is starting to rack up.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire | Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs did not place Clyde Edwards-Helaire on injured reserve with his shoulder injury. CEH is not expected to be out for an extended period of time, but he is not going to play this week.

Darrel Williams will lead this backfield against the Bengals with Derrick Gore mixing in.

Austin Ekeler | Los Angeles Chargers

On Monday, the Chargers activated Austin Ekeler from the reserve/COVID-19 list. He was also dealing with an ankle sprain prior to missing last week’s game, so perhaps the week off will have him near 100%.

    Kareem Hunt | Cleveland Browns

Kareem Hunt is also back from the reserve/COVID-19 list, but he’s still not practicing due to his ankle injury. It’s an ominous start to the week and doesn’t bode well for Hunt’s chances of playing on Monday.

Week 17 Fantasy Football RB Injury Update | NFC

Which NFC running backs are dealing with injuries that may affect their game status in Week 17?

Darrell Henderson Jr. | Los Angeles Rams

The Rams placed Darrell Henderson Jr. on injured reserve with a sprained MCL. He is expected to miss 3-5 weeks. Henderson should be back if the Rams can win a game or two in the playoffs, but he probably doesn’t have a job anymore.

Sony Michel is the Rams’ lead back until Cam Akers is healthy enough to take the job from him.

Elijah Mitchell | San Francisco 49ers

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Elijah Mitchell has a shot to play this week. We’ll have to see his practice participation level on Wednesday for a better idea. Jeff Wilson Jr. will continue to dominate touches if Mitchell can’t go.

Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard | Philadelphia Eagles

Miles Sanders is out this week due to a broken hand, and Jordan Howard is dealing with a stinger. We don’t have anything definitive on Howard’s status, but reading the tea leaves, he seems highly questionable to play this week. Boston Scott is looking like he will be the Eagles’ lead back in Week 17.
