Heading into Week 12 of the 2021 season, what information do we have on RB injuries, and how will they affect your fantasy football lineups? Which RBs do we expect to appear on the injury report this week? Check back all week for fantasy injury updates and reports on RB committees around the league.
Week 12 Fantasy Football RB Injury Report | AFC
Which running backs are dealing with injuries that may affect their game status? The AFC is no stranger to RB injuries, but fortunately, this week is relatively light.
Michael Carter, New York Jets
There is nothing new on the Michael Carter front. He’s out 2-3 weeks with a high ankle sprain, and he won’t play this week.
The Jets travel to Houston to play the Texans in Week 12.
Kareem Hunt, Cleveland Browns
Kareem Hunt wants to return Sunday night against the Ravens. Obviously, the decision is not up to Hunt, but regardless, he’s close to a return.
Week 12 Fantasy RB Injury Update | NFC
Which other running backs are dealing with injuries that may affect their game status in Week 12? What’s going on with the Saints’ backfield?
Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys
Ezekiel Elliott is clearly dealing with a knee injury that would keep most players out of games.
He said it’s a matter of managing the pain when he takes a hit or twists it a little. Not great. Nevertheless, Zeke will be out there on Thanksgiving.
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers did not practice Tuesday, but with Green Bay’s bye coming up in Week 13, Aaron Jones will almost certainly sit out another game.
Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara did not practice again Tuesday, and he’s not going to play Thursday. I’m cautiously optimistic he returns following the 10-day break between Thanksgiving and the Saints’ Week 13 game.
Mark Ingram also didn’t practice Tuesday, but it sounds like just maintenance for the veteran on a short week. If Ingram isn’t at practice Wednesday, then we can worry. For now, I’m viewing this as rest.
