Heading into Week 10 of the 2021 season, what information do we have on RB injuries, and how will they affect your fantasy football lineups? Which RBs do we expect to appear on the injury report this week? Check back all week for fantasy injury updates and reports on RB committees around the league.
Fantasy Football RB Injury Report | AFC
Which running backs are dealing with injuries that may affect their game status? The AFC is no stranger to RB injuries, but fortunately, this week is relatively light.
Nick Chubb, Cleveland Browns
On Tuesday, Nick Chubb tested positive for COVID-19. The good news is he’s vaccinated, so there’s no mandatory quarantine period. He just needs to record consecutive negative tests by Sunday.
The bad news is he does need to get over the virus by Saturday at the latest, and, to my knowledge, no player has recovered that quickly. It looks like we’re getting another D’Ernest Johnson week.
Latavius Murray, Baltimore Ravens
Latavius Murray (ankle) was not close to playing last week and continues not to practice this week. He is not going to play Thursday.
James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars
Head coach Urban Meyer said he expects James Robinson (heel) to return this week. I do, too. Carlos Hyde is back to being just a handcuff.
Week 10 Fantasy RB Injury Update | NFC
Which other running backs are dealing with injuries that may affect their game status in Week 10? What’s up with the Saints’ RB1?
Chase Edmonds, Arizona Cardinals
By the time you’re reading this, the Cardinals may have placed Chase Edmonds on IR. If they haven’t yet, they will shortly. Edmonds sustained a high ankle sprain on his first carry last week.

He is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. James Conner is looking like a league-winner. Eno Benjamin is Conner’s immediate backup.
Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys
Ezekiel Elliott banged his knee last week. It sounds like it’s just a bruise. We’ll know more after Wednesday’s practice, but currently, I’d expect Zeke to play Sunday.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints
Nick Underhill reported whispers of Alvin Kamara being banged up from New Orleans’ Week 9 contest. The Saints worked out three running backs on Tuesday. While nothing is confirmed, the Saints feeling the need to scout some running backs is concerning. We’ll see Kamara’s practice participation level on Wednesday, but it sounds like his status for this week’s game cannot be taken for granted.
Chris Carson, Seattle Seahawks
On Monday, the Seahawks designated several players to return from IR, including QB Russell Wilson — not included amongst them was Chris Carson (neck). The team is hopeful he can practice at some point this week, but as it stands, the window for his activation is not yet open. He will not play this week against the Packers.
