Jahmyr Gibbs, RB | DET (at SF)

Dan Campbell made it clear that the team trusts Jahmyr Gibbs to handle the David Montgomery role last week, even after a few failures on the doorstep. When all was said and done, Detroit’s bell cow was trusted with 27 touches. I think we might see more of that over the next 1.5 months as this team looks to get to New Orleans.

Gibbs now has six top-10 finishes this season and will be a first-round pick next season. He could prove to be the piece that is most common on championship rosters this season – make sure to check back this offseason as we will work hard to position you to get “the next” version of him.

What Is PPR in Fantasy Football?

PPR stands for “point per reception.” It means exactly what it says. PPR dictates how much a reception is worth in fantasy football.

What Is the Difference Between PPR and Non-PPR

There is a very stark contrast between PPR scoring and non-PPR scoring. In non-PPR, receptions don’t matter … at all. The only relevance receptions have is how they relate to the yards a player attains on those receptions.

One of the primary criticisms of PPR scoring is it rewards unproductive plays. If a running back carries the ball 15 times for 90 yards, that’s a really efficient performance. Yet, a wide receiver racking up an inefficient seven catches for 40 yards is going to outscore that running back by 2.0 PPR fantasy points.

How Are PFN’s Fantasy Rankings Calculated?

These fantasy football rankings are a consensus of our Fantasy Analysts. Each ranks the player individually, and then using the average, we create a consensus, offering you multiple options to consider. No matter how you have started your season, there is plenty of time to change things, but the only way to do that is with smart decisions and exploiting opportunities.
