The unfortunate reality of the NFL is that when players are allowed to go full speed, injuries are bound to happen. Week 13 of the NFL season was no exception. Now that fantasy football managers are updating their lineups for the coming week, several players have found themselves on the injury report, leaving their status for Week 14 up in the air.
Fantasy Football Injury Report: QB update
Two starting quarterbacks sustained injuries in Week 13, with one of them leaving early. Which signal-callers are in jeopardy to miss Week 14?
Tyrod Taylor, Houston Texans
According to NFL Network NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Houston Texans believe Tyrod Taylor suffered possible torn ligaments in his left wrist during the team’s 31-0 loss on Sunday, per sources. Taylor has not been ruled out for next week, but he will undergo tests to determine the full extent of the injury and whether or not this places his season in danger. Rookie Davids Mills will assume the starting QB role as he did earlier in the season due to a hamstring injury.
After the game, head coach David Culley stated that Taylor’s job as the starting QB would be evaluated, but Taylor’s wrist injury seems to have made the decision for Culley that much simpler.
Mike Glennon, New York Giants
After the game, the Giants announced QB Mike Glennon sustained a concussion in the team’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. Glennon completed 23 of 44 passes for 187 yards with an interception.
Glennon was filling in for Daniel Jones, who is dealing with a strained neck. The only healthy QB on the roster is Jake Fromm, who was signed on Tuesday.
RB update
How is the injury bug affecting RB committees heading into Week 14? Will fantasy managers need to make backup plans just in case?
Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles
Miles Sanders was ruled out for the remainder of the Eagles’ Week 13 game against the Jets on Sunday following an ankle injury he suffered in the fourth quarter. Before his injury, Sanders was off to a big game, rushing 24 times for 120 yards and adding 3 receptions for 22 yards. This is the same ankle Sanders appeared to roll last week and that forced him to miss Weeks 8-10.
Trenton Cannon, San Francisco 49ers
Trenton Cannon was taken off the field in an ambulance after sustaining a concussion on the opening kickoff against the Seahawks. Cannon was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation, per the game’s broadcast.
Kenyan Drake, Las Vegas Raiders
Raiders RB Kenyan Drake suffered a broken ankle in today’s game against Washington and will miss the remainder of the season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The veteran running back had a rush for no yards and a reception for 8 yards at the time of his injury.
With Drake sidelined, Jalen Richard could see more passing game work behind Josh Jacobs. However, Richard was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list today and might face an uphill battle to get cleared for Week 14. Las Vegas also has Peyton Barber on its running back depth chart.

Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings
Fantasy managers held their collective breath after watching Vikings WR Adam Thielen suffer an ankle injury on what looked like a rather brutal replay. However, according to head coach Mike Zimmer, Thielen suffered a sprained ankle, which is better than some speculated. Now it all depends on the grade of the injury and location as to the final diagnosis for Thielen.
It is doubtful Thielen will play in Week 14 and might not be back until deep in the fantasy playoffs, if at all. He has 686 receiving yards and 10 touchdown receptions through the first 12 games of the year.
Corey Davis, New York Jets

He will undergo core muscle surgery to repair a groin injury he re-aggravated on Sunday, per Ian Rapoport. Davis was forced out of the game, having caught 2 of 3 targets for 15 yards. It’s the same injury that forced Davis to miss Week 12.
TE Injury Update
Which tight end injuries should we be mindful of when setting our Week 14 fantasy lineups? Who is in danger of missing their next game?
Logan Thomas, Washington Football Team
According to Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post, Washington head coach Ron Rivera told reports on Monday [December 6] that Logan Thomas’s MRI came back better than they hoped. Rivera did say there is some damage to his knee but they will run further tests to determine the extent. On the positive side, the MRI indicated Thomas did not tear his ACL which was previously being reported, but further tests are needed to confirm that.
While making a block for Antonio Gibson on a rush, the Raiders’ Yannick Ngakoue went low into Logan Thomas’ knee, causing Thomas to go to the ground in pain. He would stay down for quite some time. Thomas was helped to the Washington sideline by medical personnel and was quickly deemed out for the remainder of the game.
