Roster management is the single most crucial in-season task for fantasy football managers. Knowing which players to let go is as important as adding the right guys. Which players find themselves on our Week 14 fantasy football cut list?
Who Should You Cut in Fantasy Football for Week 14?
We are now entering the final playoff push of the fantasy season. Fantasy managers need to be cutting players who are either not going to help them get to the postseason nor help them during it.
Derek Carr, QB, New Orleans Saints (51% Rostered)
Derek Carr was a solid streamer ahead of Week 14 in a projected high-scoring contest with the Lions. It didn’t quite work out with Carr posting his third dud performance in a row, and sustaining a concussion to boot.
With this being Carr’s second concussion of the season, it’s almost a guarantee he will miss time. Given that Carr is nothing more than a streamer, if you picked him up for a Week 14 spot start, you can return him to the waiver wire.
Tank Dell, WR, Houston Texans (89% Rostered)
I loathe having to put players on here due to injury. Tank Dell had firmly established himself as the Texans’ WR1. Despite the injury, I will be very much looking forward to drafting him in 2024. Sadly, that will be the next time we see the talented rookie on a football field.

Dell broke his fibula in the Texans’ win over the Broncos. He is done for the season and can be safely dropped. We wish Dell a speedy and, most importantly, a full recovery well in time for training camp.
Tyler Higbee, TE, Los Angeles Rams (49% Rostered)
Just about any tight end that isn’t one of the elites can be dropped, if necessary. Tyler Higbee being on 49% of rosters is likely a product of bye weeks and injuries anyway.
Higbee has just three double-digit fantasy point efforts on the season. His highest receiving yardage total since Week 4 is 45, and in six of those games, he caught two passes or fewer.
Matthew Stafford may not be hyper-targeting Cooper Kupp like he has the past two seasons, but it’s certainly not Higbee benefiting. It’s difficult to see a scenario where he becomes a startable fantasy tight end. You can drop Higbee.
Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Commanders (70% Rostered)
I hesitated to put Logan Thomas on the cut list because starting tight ends on pass-heavy offenses should be valuable. Unfortunately, we just can’t justify continuing to send Thomas out there.
Much like Higbee, Thomas also has just three double-digit outings on the season, and the last one came in Week 8. That was quite some time ago.
Over the past two weeks, Thomas has caught two passes for 15 yards. All of those came in Week 12. He saw just one target last week, which he didn’t catch. The only reason he didn’t bagel is because he caught a two-point conversion.
With the Commanders’ bye coming up in the final week of the fantasy regular season, there’s no need to hold Thomas through it.
