Week 13 of the fantasy football season continued to bring us more ups and downs and head-scratching moments. Savvy fantasy managers will be able to take advantage of these ebbs and flows to improve their teams. Here are a handful of players entering Week 14 of the fantasy football season that presents an optimal opportunity to buy low or sell high on.
Who Are Some Fantasy Football Week 14 Trade Targets To Buy Low?
Since expectations vary across fantasy managers, there could be a window for you to acquire some of these players at a value. All of these candidates are in a position to exceed expectations for the rest of this season.
D’Andre Swift, RB, Detroit Lions
D’Andre Swift was one of my favorite starters for this week despite many being completely out on him. Heck, I saw him being dropped in a handful of leagues.
But as we saw last week and coming into this week, Swift was trending up. He was No. 10 in xFPTs last week and should have scored a TD. He also had a great week of practice and was removed from the injury report.
Swift made up for that by punching it into the end zone and ending his day with a team-high 14 carries for 62 yards with the score while adding four receptions on six targets for 49 yards. His 21.1 PPR points has him sitting as a top-five RB on the week.

This was his first game with double-digit carries since Week 1 (15), when he finished as the RB3 overall. He dominated the snaps (39 to 22) and led Williams 19 to 11 in touches, including a significant porting coming in the second half when the Lions had the game secured.
Without question, the matchup was sublime against Jacksonville, but Swift is a prime example of talent winning out when healthy. He’ll have the edge over Williams for me moving forward in what should be another fun game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14.

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Denver Broncos
The Broncos are broken; there is no debating this one. That shows up in their passing game, not only with Russell Wilson. KJ Hamler landed on injured reserve Saturday with a hamstring injury, likely ending his season. Tim Patrick tore his ACL before the season, and on Sunday, Courtland Sutton, who put up a goose egg against Baltimore (0.0 points), suffered a hamstring injury before halftime and didn’t return.
Meanwhile, Jerry Jeudy played on 37% of the snaps and saw a 40.7% route participation rate (11-of-27) while catching all four of his targets for 65 yards. He was second only to Greg Dulcich in targets (eight) but was fourth amongst WRs in snaps and routes.
Denver doesn’t have a choice but to feature Jeudy as a top target; otherwise, it’s a mix of Kendall Hinton, Brandon Johnson, and Montrell Washington. Knowing they will be trailing all game against the Kansas City Chiefs, there is reason to believe Jeudy is a buy-low target for fantasy managers ahead of Week 14 as a flex option.
Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans
Buying low might be a bit of a reach here as, more than likely, Nico Collins isn’t rostered in too many leagues, but he should be. Collins was the No. 1 WR for the Texans, which is really just a continuation of recent trends. Recording a team-high 11 targets on 28 routes, Collins caught three passes for 35 yards but scored a touchdown in garbage time to salvage his day.
Brandin Cooks missed Week 13 with a calf injury, but he has been trending in the wrong direction since he sat out a game after the Texans failed to move him at the NFL trade deadline.
With the Texans eliminated from the playoffs (no surprise there), there is a significant chance Collins continues to be the No. 1 receiver for a team that will be garbage time every week. Three of the Texans’ next four games are against teams that rank in the bottom 10 in points allowed. I’d buy low on Collins as a bench stash that could turn into a flex play.
Who Are Some Fantasy Football Week 14 Candidates To Sell High?
Actual value vs. perceived value is also something fantasy managers need to have their pulse on. It cannot only tell you when to buy low but also when to sell high before the floor crashes out. Here are three players that could be worth selling before their value drops.
Deebo Samuel, WR, San Francisco 49ers
This is code red. While the 49ers knocked off the Dolphins 33-17, it came at a massive cost, as Jimmy Garoppoloi will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a broken bone in his foot. In his place, Mr. Irrelevant Broke Purdy completed 25 of 37 attempts for 210 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
Deebo Samuel came into Week 13 a game-time decision (quadriceps) but played the majority of the game, catching six of his team-high (tied) ten targets for 58 yards while adding five yards on four carries.

Since the arrival of Christian McCaffrey, Samuel was averaging just 13.4% of the air yard share with 41.3 yards per game with a healthy Jimmy G. With Purdy under center, I have to drop the 49ers playmakers outside of McCaffrey.
Samuel was already hit-and-miss with WR45, WR59, WR5, WR66, and WR26 finishes in his last five games. His ceiling took a massive hit, and I’d sell high on the name value while you can, as he could become a liability in the fantasy football playoffs.
Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons
Rinse and repeat. After a good game, it opens the sell-high window for Atlanta Falcons WR Drake London every time. That’s the case here heading into Week 14 as London sat a new career-high in receiving yards (95) on six-of-12 receiving against the Steelers.
His metrics continue to be absurd. He entered the week eighth in target share (28.1%) with a 26.9% air yard share, and on Sunday, London played on 87% of the snaps, had an 88% route participation, and a ridiculous 54.5% target per route run rate. That’d be Cooper Kupp-like numbers if not for London sitting 51st in routes through the first 12 weeks.
The volume is simply not there for London to become a must-start despite the elite metrics. They are as slow as molasses in a blizzard with their tempo with a bye in Week 14 followed by games against the Saints and Ravens. Sell London and a bottle of aspirin to someone else. He can be their headache for the remainder of 2022.
