In the second quarter of the Eagles’ 28-23 victory over the Jaguars, Barkley caught a pass from Jalen Hurts. He juked one defender, spun away from another, and, with his back turned, hurdled a third defender while facing backward.

This extraordinary move by the 27-year-old impressed not only the players and fans but NFL officials as well. So much so that they decided to drug test him.

“I got drug tested right after the game,” revealed Barkley.

Football fans were up in arms after learning about this. “Oh of course he did… NO FUN LEAGUE,” replied one fan on X (previously Twitter).

“Ridiculous!! So, because a player has an incredible game & plays his (heart) out, he gets drug tested for it. It’s just wrong,” added one fan.

“Because drugs make you jump backwards. Everyone knows that,” added another fan.

“They said na this gotta be fake,” one more fan tweeted.

“What really happened was I was going to hit a double spin,” Barkley said. “I aborted it. So, when I spun, I went to spin again, and I just like, it’s probably going to take away from how cool the play is, I really kind of, I thought he was going low.

“So, I was just like, it’ll be cool if I just jumped up, but my body kind of took over,” added Barkley.
