Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, football fans have started discussing what order various top prospects should be picked and who will be the best player once drafted.
Recently, that discourse saw people on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, debating whether Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart or Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders would be the better pro in the NFL.
Social Media Discussion Surrounding Jaxson Dart and Shedeur Sanders
The popular sport’s profile ‘@utahpreprag’ detailed a hot take to begin the discussion surrounding Dart and Sanders.

“Hot take! @JaxsonDart will be a better pro than @ShedeurSanders. I said what I said…,” the post detailed.
In response, one person highlighted their belief that the statement was not a hot take at all.
“Not really a hot take. Shedeur, with his skill set, is considered to be a safe pick with no extraordinary upside. Meanwhile, Dart has better arm talent and better at extending plays,” they stated.
Meanwhile, one individual made it evident that they did not fully agree with the statement.
“He’s got a better arm, but he’s not as accurate, efficient, or read defenses as well. You’re just banking on upside,” they said.

Finally, one user explained how they did not see either player doing much in the NFL.
“Neither will do anything in the NFL,” they added.

Dart and Sanders PFN 2025 NFL Draft Projection
Dart and Sanders are among the top QB prospects available in the upcoming draft this April. In Pro Football Network’s recent 7-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft with trades, Sanders was selected first overall by the Tennessee Titans, while Dart was picked in the third round, 69th overall, by the Seattle Seahawks.
Regarding Sanders, “Sanders’ almost instantaneous release makes up for what is only a slightly above-average arm. It lets him consistently test tight windows, and his class-best accuracy helps his projection as a long-time NFL starter.”
“Sanders’ pressure-to-sack rate and willingness to hold onto the ball could, and should, cause some concern. However, the context to that is he’s also operated on an NFL timeline for the past two seasons behind arguably one of the worst offensive lines in the country.”
Meanwhile, “Jaxson Dart is a natural leader and playmaker. He is known for elevating his team with pinpoint passes, sharp reads, and trust in his receivers. He excels at exploiting man coverage, finding matchups, and winning 50-50 plays.”
“While his game has a few flaws, he sometimes locks in downfield too long, risking ball security. Those daring throws into tight coverage might not always succeed against NFL corners, but with his full skill set, Dart has the tools to thrive at the next level.”
