Travis Hunter’s athleticism is not only limited to the gridiron. He can certainly hoop, and the latest spectacle has caught fans by surprise, praising the Heisman Trophy winner even more.
On Saturday, Hunter, accompanied by Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, attended a Colorado men’s basketball game against the Bellarmine Knights at the CU Events Center. The Buffaloes won the game 79-55 to improve to 9-2 on the season, but before all that, it was Hunter’s hooping skills that stole the spotlight.
Travis Hunter Can Run, Catch, Tackle and Dunk!
During pregame warmups, Hunter donned the Buffaloes’ basketball jersey and showed those in attendance that he could hoop as well.
The 6-foot-1 cornerback/wide receiver put everyone on notice after he made a successful dunk attempt. After giving the ball some air, Hunter ran from beyond the arc, perfectly catching the ball on a bounce, and leaped above the rim for a thunderous dunk.

“We just want to thank Buff Nation,” Sanders addressed Colorado fans. “Thank you, Buff Nation, for everything, for all the support through the ups and downs of everything. Now it’s time to move on, move to bigger and better things. I want everybody to give it up for; we got Julian Lewis right here, man. Let’s do it. Thank y’all; appreciate y’all for having us. Thank y’all, legendary.”
This comes just a week before the Buffaloes’ upcoming Alamo Bowl game in San Antonio against the BYU Cougars. The game will be the last time in which fans will probably see Hunter, Sanders, and other stars in action together on the field.
