‘It Can’t Be the End’ – Fans Flood Matthew Stafford’s Wife Kelly’s Instagram After Emotional Post

Matthew Stafford might be a star on the field, but his wife, Kelly, has no trouble generating attention off of it. This time, social media flocked to her Instagram account, pleading for Stafford to return in 2025.

Los Angeles Rams fans wasted no time jumping into her comments, hoping to push off the star quarterback’s retirement.

Is Matthew Stafford Going To Retire?

Stafford is staring down the end of his NFL journey, but he’s earned the right to leave on his terms. After a gut-wrenching 28-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round, the Staffords sparked conversations about retirement.

Kelly posted a heartfelt reflection on Instagram, leaving fans wondering about the future.

“I’m wondering if this is the end or not… guess we will find out,” she wrote while praising her husband’s resilience and dedication. “I could never get tired of watching you out there or watching our girls cheer for their daddy.”

Fans didn’t hold back, flooding the post with love and calls for Stafford to return. “One more adventure… One more!!” one fan begged. Another called Stafford “our QB1” and said they hope he comes back “to get his 2nd ring.”

At 36, Stafford still proved he can sling it. He threw for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns, and just eight interceptions this season, leading the Rams to an NFC West title. His playoff game in snowy Philadelphia showcased his grit—324 yards, two touchdowns, five sacks, and a rib injury—despite falling short on a potential game-winning drive.

Stafford’s legacy is cemented as the Rams’ 2021 Super Bowl hero, but retirement rumors loom. He’s under contract for two more seasons, and head coach Sean McVay surely hopes his veteran leader will stay.

For now, Stafford is taking time to ponder. The football world will join the Los Angeles faithful in keeping an eye on Stafford, waiting to see if the QB who survived Detroit and won a Super Bowl with the Rams has one more run in him.

The Rams got iced out on Sunday, literally and figuratively. In a snow-drenched showdown at Lincoln Financial Field, the Eagles soared thanks to a strong run game, booking their spot in the NFC Championship.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford kept it real after the game, saying, “Just a couple of unforced errors here and there… You do that against a team like that, it’s going to be a difficult thing to overcome.”

Stafford threw for 324 yards and two touchdowns, but snowy fumbles and an unrelenting Eagles defense were too much to overcome. Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley ran circles around the Rams with a jaw-dropping 205 rushing yards and two touchdowns. On the final drive, Philadelphia’s defense made multiple big plays to end Los Angeles’ season.

Ultimately, Stafford finished 22nd in PFN’s QB+ metric and his team fell short of lofty Super Bowl expectations.

As the Rams head to the offseason, they’ll lick their wounds with an eye on 2025 and another on their aging quarterback, hoping he opts to return.
