NFL Fans Call Out LSU HC Brian Kelly as Jayden Daniels Carries Commanders to NFC Championship Game

Social media continues to discuss Jayden Daniels' phenomenal performance in the shocking Washington Commanders win over the Detroit Lions.

Jayden Daniels and the No. 6-seeded Washington Commanders defeated Amon-Ra St. Brown and the No. 1-seeded Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. In the game, Daniels was dominant from start to finish and largely carried the entire offense on his back for the majority.

As a result, one individual made clear on social media how poor LSU head coach Brian Kelly was for not getting Daniels’ LSU team to the College Football Playoff last year. The team in reference had numerous rookies become instant superstars upon entering the NFL. Not only was Daniels the quarterback, but the team also featured star wide receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Malik Nabers, both of whom were phenomenal this year.

What Did the Fan Say About Jayden Daniels and LSU?

The individual under the X profile ‘Jono Barnes’ made clear his belief that Kelly was a poor coach for not getting his team to the College Football Playoffs, despite having an insane group of offensive talent.

“I’m sorry but this game (and this whole season) proves to me how Brian Kelly is a fraud. How does LSU not even make the playoffs with Jayden Daniels (and all the other great talent we had). Insane man,” Barnes detailed.

Last year, prior to the expansion, the College Football Playoffs consisted of the Michigan Wolverines, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Washington Huskies, and the Texas Longhorns.

Jayden Daniels Rookie Season To This Point

Daniels has enjoyed a phenomenal rookie season with the Commanders and will most likely win this year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. If his team continues its magical postseason run, he could hoist the NFL’s top honor, the Super Bowl.

As alluded to, the Commanders surprisingly defeated the top seed in the NFC to advance to the NFC Championship game next weekend. In the 45-31 victory, Daniels completed 22 of his 31 passes, going for 299 passing yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also added 51 yards on the ground. That 350-yard total effort consistently put the Lions’ defense under pressure and did not allow them to gain any momentum.

With the win, Daniels and the Commanders will await the winner of the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams Divisional Round contest on Jan. 19. The game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles. However, due to both teams holding a higher seed than the Commanders, Daniels will once again be on the road for the major NFC Championship game next weekend.
