Eagles vs. Cowboys DFS Lineup for Sunday Night Football: All In on Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, and DeVonta Smith

Here is our recommended Eagles vs. Cowboys DFS lineup based on game-script analyses for their NFL Week 6 Sunday Night Football matchup.

If you’re playing a Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys DFS lineup for Sunday Night Football in Week 6, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve analyzed each team’s highest-probability game scripts to assess the most likely outcomes, including which players are in line to thrive more than anticipated or fall short of expectations.

The following recommended fantasy football lineup (for tournaments, 50/50, or head-to-head competitions) aims to lock in a relatively high floor while maximizing upside.

    Eagles Considerations

In a battle between two seemingly great defenses, one of my biggest questions is whether Dallas really has a “great” defense. After keeping Tom Brady mostly in check (without an entirely healthy Bucs receiving corps), they looked impressive defeating Joe Burrow and the Bengals at home.

Since then, the Cowboys have vanquished Daniel Jones, Carson Wentz, and some unidentifiable version of Matthew Stafford. If they were building a resume for a high-paying corporate gig in Tokyo, these three wins would be listed under “Other Experience.”

I don’t believe these Cowboys can stop the Eagles from scoring 24+ points. In other words, Philly seems more likely than not to reach the end zone at least three times. Perhaps the Eagles won’t rack up the same number of yards they’re accustomed to.

Instead, I’m banking on poor play by Cowboys QB Cooper Rush and the rest of the offense, culminating in multiple turnovers, favorable Philly field position, and some quick-strike scores that turn this game into a minor blowout by the third quarter.

As a result, I’m all in on at least some of the Eagles’ receivers. Perhaps Jalen Hurts will be too pricey, though it’s hard to ignore him. And we might need to dig deep for a flier to make the budget work.

    Cowboys Considerations

Not much more to say about Dallas. I think Rush will find it tough (to put it mildly) to net more than 150 passing yards. Ezekiel Elliott probably won’t exceed 45 rushing yards.

It will be a frustrating night in Philly — not unlike that night in Philly when I wanted to see “Saving Private Ryan,” and instead accidentally saw a retro viewing of “Private Benjamin.”

Not the movie — the T.V. series. Although the inimitable Eileen Brennan deservedly stole every scene.

Because I believe the Cowboys will get crushed in this contest, I’m all in on the Eagles D/ST ($4,200 normally, $6,300 as Captain) in our Captain slot. This gives us the financial flexibility to snag four of Philadelphia’s five best offensive playmakers: Hurts ($11,800), A.J. Brown ($10,600), DeVonta Smith ($7,400), and Miles Sanders ($8,400).

That leaves one Dallas slot. There are several “solid” players to choose from, but I can’t see anyone on the Cowboys rolling in points tonight. So let’s go with No. 2 wideout Michael Gallup ($5,400) in the hope that he breaks loose for a big reception and a TD.
