The Philadelphia Eagles capped off their 2024 season by winning Super Bowl 59 40-22 over the Kansas City Chiefs. Rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell was a key piece of Philadelphia’s defense last season, and he celebrated the Super Bowl Victory by recently getting an amazing tattoo.

Quinyon Mitchell Gets Epic ‘Super Bowl Champions’ Tattoo
Mitchell was a four-year player at Toledo University and made a name for himself at the Mid-American Conference school. He started each game during his final three seasons, finishing his college career with 123 total tackles, 45 pass breakups, and six interceptions. He led the MAC in breakups in 2022 and 2023 with 19 and 18, respectively.
The highlight of his time at Toledo was a four-interception, two-pick-six game against Northern Illinois in 2022. His interception total fell to just one in 2023, but he was a first-team All-MAC selection in ’22 and ’23. Mitchell established himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the country and was invited to the 2024 Senior Bowl.
The Eagles selected Mitchell with the 22nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Philadelphia drafted fellow cornerback Cooper DeJean in the second round and the pair quickly became dangerous for opposing offenses. Mitchell was a lockdown corner immediately and saw fewer and fewer targets as the season went on.
He finished the regular season with 12 pass breakups and no interceptions but added four more breakups and two picks in Philadelphia’s postseason run.
The Eagles’ defense was arguably the best in the NFL last season coming in at No. 2 in PFSN’s Defense+ metric. Vic Fangio’s unit achieved an 87.9 (B+ grade) relying on takeaways without sacrificing in other areas. They dominated Kansas City in Super Bowl 59, forcing three turnovers and sacking Patrick Mahomes six times without blitzing.
There wasn’t a single statistical flaw in Philadelphia’s defense, which ranks top 10 in every metric that encompasses the Defense+ grades (except for sack rate, where they were 16th). Considering their dominant title game performance against the two-time defending champs, this unit will be remembered as one of the great defenses in recent history with Mitchell and DeJean as critical pieces.
To commemorate the championship, Mitchell recently got an epic tattoo put on his chest, which highlights when he was drafted.

The 3D Eagles is well done, I haven't seen that before.
It's coming along nice!

It isn’t finished yet, but this is an awesome way to let everyone know you’re a Super Bowl Champion. Mitchell was the runner-up in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting behind defensive end Jared Verse of the Los Angeles Rams. Not having any interceptions in the regular season probably doomed Mitchell’s hopes at winning the award, but he’s likely content with a Super Bowl Ring and an epic new tattoo.
