Who Are the Eagles-Seahawks Announcers Tonight on MNF? Everything You Need To Know About the Broadcast

    Published on

Who are the ESPN announcers in the booth for the Eagles vs. Seahawks Monday Night Football game in Week 15? Is there a ManningCast tonight?

The Philadelphia Eagles visit the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football to wrap up Week 15. This game was originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon, but the NFL flexed out the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.

In the offseason, the NFL put in a policy on a trial basis to flex out Monday and Thursday Night Football games. This is the first time the new policy has been used this season. The Chiefs and Patriots played Sunday afternoon on FOX.

You can watch the Eagles-Seahawks game on ABC and ESPN at 8:15 p.m. ET; NFL greats Peyton and Eli Manning will have a ManningCast — the ESPN2 alternate broadcast.

The traditional broadcast with Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Lisa Salters will be on ABC and ESPN. Buck and Aikman are in their 22nd season together in a broadcast booth, a record-breaking season after surpassing the legendary pair of Pat Summerall and John Madden.

ESPN’s coverage begins with Monday Night Countdown starting at 6 p.m. ET, with host Scott Van Pelt and former players Ryan Clark, Marcus Spears, and Robert Griffin III providing analysis. Michelle Beisner-Buck and NFL insider Adam Schefter are also part of the show.

    The Broadcast Team

After working together as broadcasters for 20 years at FOX, Buck and Aikman are calling Monday Night Football on ESPN for a second season. They called 18 NFC Championship Games and six Super Bowls together at FOX. Cris Collinsworth joined Aikman and Buck in the booth for their first three seasons working together at FOX.

Buck, who started his broadcasting career in minor league baseball, called 24 World Series and 22 MLB All-Star games while at FOX. His father, Jack, called Monday Night Football on the radio from 1978–1984 and 1987–1995.

Aikman was the first overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys out of UCLA. He was the starting quarterback when the Cowboys became the first team to win three Super Bowls in four years. Aikman was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008.

Aikman was 13-9 as a starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. He completed almost 62% of his passes with 23 touchdowns and 13 interceptions during his MNF career.

Salters, who joined ESPN in 2000, has been the MNF sideline reporter since 2012. She is also a sideline reporter during the NBA season for ABC and ESPN. She worked for ABC News from 1995 to 2000 before joining ESPN.

    Monday in Week 16

Next Monday, there will be a Christmas tripleheader spread over three networks. The first game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs will kick off at 1 p.m. ET on CBS. The second game will be between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles on FOX at 4:30 p.m. ET.

The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers will finish the tripleheader on Monday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET. There is an NBA game on ESPN at that time, so the Ravens and 49ers will be on ABC.
